I remember TERF forums coming up with "biological sex" as a way to forcefully remove trans people's identifies as far back as 2021. It's been really toxic to me for years.
I've said it before but the legally protected characteristic of sex reassignment in a country that doesn't legally recognise the fact that humans can change their biological sex is like having boat insurance for your car.

Yeah I was given questionaries for years before I transitioned that asked if I could be pregnant. I just ticked "no" and the world didn't end or anything.
Giving x-rays to pregnant people is a bad idea. But honestly it's just better and easier to just have a generic questionnaire for all people with a pregnancy question on there.
