If you're angry/scared & don't have the resources to do much but you want to do something, START COMPILING. Start collecting lists of local/national organizations that DO have plans. Voting rights, Women, LGBTQ+ & Immigrant protections, share, compare & compile to make it easier for others to help🧵
LRS: get a library card. Librarians are equipped with resources to help get you what you need. I walked people through burying relatives in Arlington, getting paperwork done for COVID shots, and finding someone to talk to during terrible times. In hard times, you want the resources in your pocket.
i see a lot of people trying to see what they can do now. support your local library, we need you now more than ever.
the public resources are life-saving for every demographic.
it is free and easy.
protect the ability to learn. access to information equals opportunity to grow and change.
I've talked to a few folks this morning who were talking about stopping work on their creative projects. Because it's "not important anymore."
