All that said, I am gonna go to bed here soon. If you decide to add me again and I don't respond initially, I promise I will when I wake up. Again, have a good night, and I hope you make the right choice for you and your mental health, but please know that I'm willing to go the distance :)

All I ask is that, if there's an issue, the two of us try to communicate directly about it rather than blocking and reaching out through block evading and all that. I will put forth that effort! But regardless, I hope you're having a good night and make the choice that's right for you! (3/3)
I do wanna put in the effort to being your friend!! And if that means that sometimes, I just gotta message back on time more reliably, I'm willing to put in that effort and that communication!! You're not forcing me to be your friend, and I am sorry I made you think that. I wanna prove it. (2/3)
I wasn't uninterested in talking to you, but when you put it like that, I can certainly see why it seemed that way. One-on-one conversations require a lil more social energy than posting on social media within my own brain. Nonetheless, I can see why I came across that way and I am sorry. (1/3)
I am here for you ok? And I am here in the crashouts and in the great fun stuff and in the inbetween. You do not have to unblock me if I crossed a line or did something unkind. But if you're punishing yourself out of mental problems, I hope you reach out. Have a good night :3
@bbytaiga.bsky.social Hey, this is Daisy on a separate acct I happened to have. Idk what's going on but I hope you're ok, and I want you to know that, while blocking me is within your rights, you deserve companionship and friendship. I've really enjoyed our talks and would love to talk more :)
I am hyped as SHIT for this btw
So tbh Tron Ares was fine but I thought "Hasta La Vista Ares" was a weird phrase for Jared Leto's character. Oh well

IT'S THE GUY
A digital art piece done by Daisy of The Thing from the Fantastic Four with Gregory House from House MD. The thing is saying "Uh, Geez... Sorry, House, I think we got a kill dis guy." House responds "Huh. That'll cut into my scheduled sex time with Wilson."
Oh, oh that's art of my comfort characters about to commit murder
(Art by me!)
FUCK I GOTTA PLAY THIS SO BAD
Ben Stenbeck's variant cover for THE LAST DAY OF H.P. LOVECRAFT issue one, showing H.P. Lovecraft falling down alongside a spiral shaped monster into a white void.
๐ THE LAST DAY OF H.P. LOVECRAFT (2025) #1 (Ben Stenbeck Variant)
Not spoiling a single thing about this one. Just know it's building to be a horror masterpiece and you owe it to yourself to read it. 10/10.
Vitor Cafaggi's variant cover for STARSHIP GODZILLA issue 1, with the characters being drawn in the style of the original poster for Star Wars. The logo is also reminiscent of the original Star Wars logo.
๐ STARSHIP GODZILLA (2025) #1 (Vitor Cafaggi Variant)
I'm super glad that Tom Sciolli's excellent GODZILLA'S MONSTERPIECE THEATRE (2024-2025) series got me interested in IDW's Godzilla line, because this is a great start to a space exploration sci-fi Godzilla series. 8/10!
A variant cover for SPIDER-MAN NOIR VOLUME 3 issue one, featuring Spider-Man in a black costume with a trenchcoat and fedora, holding a gun against a colorful spider background.
๐ SPIDER-MAN NOIR VOLUME 3 (2025) #1 (David Mack Variant)
I've never read any Noir comics before this one, but this was an awesome start for a new volume featuring NSM. Having the backdrop be a mystery only to solve that mystery and set-up the following issues by the end is brilliant. 9/10!
The cover for MARVEL/DC: SPIDER-BOY FACSIMILE EDITION (2025) #1, showing Spider-Boy fighting off Bizarnage and Lizard King.
๐ MARVEL/DC: SPIDER-BOY FACSIMILE EDITION (2025) #1
Honestly I just find it funny that this comic takes place in a universe where Marvel and DC characters have swapped places or even combined in many cases, and yet Jonah is still the guy who hates Spider-Man lol. Probably just a 6/10 but very fun!
Weekly pickup thread for 10/1/2025!! I haven't read all of them yet, so I'll post the ones I've read first. My local shop also was missing their DC shipment for some reason, so I don't have any comics from them, and will post about those new releases when I get them.
a redraw of a the iconic panel from Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, in which Batman breaks a gun in half, and says "this is the weapon of the enemy. We do not need it. We will not use it" In my version, he is breaking the Inktober logo.
An important PSA from Batman
A picture of Daisy holding SPIDER-MAN AND BATMAN issue 1 and STATIC SEASON ONE issue 1. The former has a picture of Batman and Spider-Man in Gotham City, while the Bat Signal lights up the sky with added spider web decorations. The latter is a foil variant of Static Shock jumping in the air and using his lightning powers.
A picture of Daisy holding the graphic novel LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT. The cover shows the logo and a picture split between a picture of Lon Chaney in the film of the same name, and a drawing of that picture.
Some pickups from Fantasticon in Waterford earlier!!

But these comics have really brought us closer by being able to take our two great loves, comics and tabletop gaming, and bond with them in a unique way. It's our thing we look forward to every month and I'm so happy that we get this chance. Thank you Dark Horse and Critical Role for this chance!!!!
Comics are inherently a somewhat inaccessible art form for blind folks due to the nature of it being reading, but with a reliance on visual art beyond the words. It's a lot harder to make comics accessible compared to, say, film or written literature. And that's not inherently bad, but it does suck.
The cover for Issue 1 of CRITICAL ROLE VOX MACHINA ORIGINS SERIES 1, showing Vex and Vax in a dark alleyway, with Keyleth behind them.
The cover for Issue 2 of the series with Grog and Scanlan fighting a frog creature.
The cover for Issue 3 of the series with Grog inside a green bubble behind a blonde white human woman with a sword in her hand.
The cover for Issue 4 showing Vax in a prison cell.
Since I have a minute, I wanted to give a quick shout-out to the folks at @criticalrole.bsky.social and @darkhorse.com, and specifically their CRITICAL ROLE: VOX MACHINA ORIGINS comics. My partner is Blind and can't read comics but LOVES CR. We read them together and I do the character voices.
A meme of Kratos from God of War looking at The Thing from Marvel Comics. He says "LA COSA..."
This is how I feel tbh
Definitely didn't expect the man himself to repost my small silly review of his comic!! Well met @danpgwatters.bsky.social!!
A copy of KNIGHT & BEARD issue 1, featuring a cover with all of the characters on it.
I'll have to see if I can't find my signed copy of KNIGHT & BEARD #1 later, it's probably somewhere in my room. One of the first comic issues I ever got, because Thorn Kurtzhals, the artist and co-creator, actually lived near me and their sister went to high school with me.
A variant cover for BATTLEWORLD issue one, showing various superheroes and villains fighting on Battleworld.
๐ BATTLEWORLD (2025) #1, Christos Gage (Nick Bradshaw Connecting Wraparound Variant)
I had just completed the original MARVEL SUPER HEROES: SECRET WARS (1984-1985) series before grabbing this one, and while it's definitely not as strong starting off, it's still good and has potential. 7/10!
A variant cover for JEFF THE LAND SHARK issue 4, showing Jeff singing on-stage at a concert alongside Luna Snow.
๐ JEFF THE LAND SHARK (2025) #4, Kelly Thompson (Tokitokoro Variant)
(JEFF SINGING THE CHORUS TO RIVALS TIL THE END) 7/10!
A variant cover for THE THING VOLUME 4 issue 5, showing The Thing with a weary expression and his fists raised.
๐ THE THING VOLUME 4 (2025) #5, Tony Fleecs (Greg Land Variant)
I've loved following along with this miniseries and the finale was everything I hoped for! It was so cool seeing Ben reconnect with his Yancy Street roots and the message for parents with kids who are "different" is sweet. 9/10!
