I was talking with my therapist yesterday about things while technology was FUBARing., and I had this epiphany.
You where you do a lot of little things but it doesn't feel like you were productive?

I feel this one. It's constant on LinkedIN. And now in the DFW area, there are pro data center commercials on ROKU channels.
I feel if you have to campaign THIS HARD for a tech, it's really not worth it.

NO ONE is is talking about the COAST GUARD, CISA, SECRET SERVICE or anyone else not getting paid. Are they all happily going into massive debt? Have any of THEM quit, called in sick? I mean, there's one there I think would be HILARIOUS, but... it's not JUST TSA, folks.
The annoyance I have is the sole focus on TSA. I get it, they're the most public facing. Airports important. Blah.
But there are 11 more agencies that are also impacted. NO ONE seems to care about THEM. NO ONE is talking about FEMA (except to say DIE! DIE! DIE!)working without pay.

I'm really sick of the Shutdown Narrative, not because it's dominating, but because it has such a specific narrative.
ICE ABSOLUTELY needs to go away. I wondered how they were still being paid - dang it, pre-budget. Stupid.
Kinda have to do a pen bit - but maybe just a quick "pen of the ...." whatever time frame (weekly/biweekly/monthly?)
Now...I am SINCERELY asking for input/feedback on how folks are creating engagement. And as a hyper independent GenXer, asking for help is a major psychological deal.
1. Blog - keep active or archive?
2. Newsletter - ethically sourced, free range readership only - no GMOs or artificial intelligences
3. Animated handpuppets? - crap, now I probably have to figure out how to do that, because y'all are just that sadistic.
4. Something else?
Next week, after the Indy Nightmare (cars not horror books) is over here in Arlington, I am accepting help on my website remodel.

Clean energy is great for the grid - but until every household has an EV or reliable EV public transit? We still need the gas to get to the things we need. So short term? Band aid. Long term? Renewables - on buildings, parking lots, etc. Not farm/range land.
Cliff Notes at least kept the language and just summarized. THIS??? SERIOUSLY? Why not just: "Me young. Dad smart. Still think."?
I'm not against plain language - that's accessibility. But plain language isn't "easy", it's not "dumb".
There's nothing "hard" about the original language.

In a full day of ADULTING, I've started a process that is sure to cause some tics... I've begun the laborious process of updating and redesigning my website.
There are parts the stubbornly me says: YOU'RE A GROWN ADULT, YOU CAN DO THIS.
The logical me says: OTHERS HAVE OFFERED. TAKE HELP.

What do people use Wordpress based websites for these days? I seemed to have missed a paradigm shift in my "dark period".
Seems like blogs may just be more noise? Do audiences care about blogs anymore or is it a Substack thing now?

I'm for it. SO MANY people have missed out on dreams - scientific, artistic, etc - because it wasn't "practical" or they needed FOOD. If basic needs are covered (and that's all UBI does), how much more can we all DO.
My spouse is a huge fan of hers. I've seen some videos, but this is AMAZING. In all the dark and crap, THIS is the news we need! <3
