An Octopus cyanea reveals itself and launches itself away

An owl lands at the shallow pond, off balance, one foot up, long wings akimbo! A moth happens to be at the tip of one wing like a little starburst.

Love everything about this #cameratrap shot at our shallow pond, of a great-horned #owl: wingspan, off-balance stance, moth, eye glow.

If you're in a local park or sunny woodland with dogwood and various other bushy plants, you might notice lots of "flies" with huge wire-like antennae flitting about in the sunshine. Well, they're not flies, they're likely Green Longhorn moths, which have emerged here in the last few days #teamMoth

I don't think I've ever seen a hummingbird in the agricultural areas, even in the aloe fields when they're flowering!
