I’ve complained to Amazon this week as a delivery to a wheelie bin isn’t acceptable, though I don’t think hidden behind the plant pot is a “safe place” delivery either

For the delivery drivers I usually assume they’re paid so little per drop they don’t have the time to invest in the deliveries, so it’s lazinesss
I've been Firefox & private sessions ever since my mrs was being shown adverts for jeans whilst I was shopping on another mac. If it wasn't bad enough it wasn't even signed into anything because it was a mac I'd bought for resale so it was blank and I was just having a mooch around to test it.
Yeah as a twenty something I could have probably quickly learnt to hone the skills of a GT3 on a track (though still probably break one (or three). Today it’d be road use, so why not cab roof down enjoy the car and engine at at 6/10ths
Preaching to the converted there.
Especially modern cars you drive around in a sealed bubble.
In a vert you drive in the environment, smells, temps, bird song, sounds, views.
All the better with a nice engine note to bounce off some dry stone walling…
Yeah I’d put one in mine too.
No point in the proper tin top one, I’d never take it anywhere to do it justice
Yeah the usual stuff, I'd imagine enough people with enough money have said hey we'd like one, so they've built one. It might not be what the FB warrior wants in their theoretical lottery garage, but hooray to choice ultimately, especially if the choice isn't yet another SUV...
I've not yet enabled it on the phone, because a lot of new customer calls are by their very nature form unknown numbers, but also very good at just hearing the half second silence first and just hang up
I'd say it was useless against non UK companies, but yes also useless against UK ones. Tried to report one, we need the company name/address/inside leg measurements. They're spam callers, they won't tell us this info... can't help you.
Yeah that's never good, though that's also a very high volume of calls. None of the new call hold features etc help?
As ever why I like using aliases on the emails. It’s a minor PITA sometimes but when dodgy emails come in to jon+nameofsite@
It’s a double security feature, I know who’s leaked, I know the bank/PayPal etc wouldn’t email me there either
Failed on that one. But should have got it really based on the face it was all white with a pipe in the first image that it was there 🤪
There’s a certain amount of everyone shoots portrait now because of phones. See it so often on images, but especially videos, even TV people shooting video in portrait and you’re like FFS is it so hard to rotate the bloody phone
To be fair at least they are
A) well lit
B) the car is central to the image, not missing major parts in the image
C) in focus
D) the correct way up
Many seem to fail these basic tests. Seriously it’s digital, you can see they’re wrong instantly. Just take another bloody photo
Remoting with users and seeing how badly they interact is erm interesting.
We don’t always have remote control too, so I just need you to click print, it’s the icon just to the left of save
Mouse moves 8” left 4” down. They’re now not even on the active window
System settings?
I’ll drive over
Super neat. Definitely a win win!
It’s become quite common (at least in the UK) for the Chinese sellers to register a local business address so in eBay they appear in local search.
It just needs eBay to say “hang on lads we can see from your tracking you aren’t shipping from there despite your registered address”
When I added fogs to the Cav, I added all OEM stuff, except annoyingly of all the blanks the thatcham immobiliser man could have chosen, he went for the front fog, so I couldn’t move it, so had to put a toggle switch elsewhere. Everything else was plug n play
I’ve had a long standing tradition of having a known cheap job left outstanding, because whenever you seem to complete everything, the car decides, I know let’s blow something expensive.
I’d generally agree except a bit of extra overtaking punch for the chains, you can no longer pick off a few one by one as everyone drives too close to each other, so it becomes artic + 4 cars. For everything else I agree my 125i 230hp usual roads is more than adequate
Isn't this just standard affair? It's quite usual to shift something with the BM 'vert and you get to either end and someone comments how the hell did all that get in there?? Bar big furniture we moved house with the Audi 80 vert & E36 vert
Peak 5er, the E39 on the right wheels just looks right, even today, or even especially today.
Yeah this might come as a shock noting my usual stance on convertibles, but the mk1 TT roadster doesn’t work, if you’re doing a mk1 TT it HAS to be a coupe
But was having a chat yesterday with the Mrs, lugging a surprising amount of stuff that’s currently filling the hall, I said “maybe we should be thinking a hatchback or coupe hatch next”.
2 hrs later walking to car in evening sun… oh fuck, I’m not putting the roof down but it’s still nice
But yes can be a road surface thing too, I’ve learnt never do the A180 to Grimsby roof down, I don’t know what that surface is but it’s positively painful in the E88 with the roof down. Doesn’t even stand out that much with the roof up
yeah and this is the thing real world. The e36/e88 insulate a lot more lorry noise than the NB Mazda did, but I only drove the latter for a day. Roof down wind deflector makes an utterly huge difference, so much I won’t drive the e36/e88 roof down without them
Yeah I usually go end bays at the supermarket though I avoid those trolley bay ones as there’s usually bugger all room on one side and those door clunking rails
Yeah it’s a cheat when it’s yours. Electrical gremlins are a royal PITA
I had the mk2 GTI when I rented the NB just out of interest. I didn’t expect to utterly love it, but that’s where I found myself. Admittedly a bit noisy on motorway, lorry noises and what not that you don’t get on bigger more insulated verts, but much fun
I saw one last Friday actually, remember as as you say you just don’t see them.
Seen an Audi 100 (a6 badged too this evening)
Did press save on the dash cam this morning for the Lancia Beta coupe that was also “making progress”
