An absolutely beautiful series of drawings by my friend @zedekyr.bsky.social of Chumley The Nice Truck

Inspired by this story I wrote as a little writing exercise! If there's enough interest, i may share some of the others I wrote

I mean if you want a more explicit tying of politics to his rail endeavors, then look no further:

I can't fathom the idea of engaging in my hobby and consequently directly supporting such a hateful individual

not just financially but by inviting them on his private "Chairman's Train" - the most recent outing being 71000's debut run

His politics are sickening enough but he is intrinsically tying heritage rail and his company to his politics.

It is a challenge to volunteer on standard gauge rail and-

Just a reminder for anyone who supports Locomotive Services Limited and any of the services/engines operated by them

(Blue Peter, SNG, Braunton, and many more)

In addition to backing Reform & Laurence Fox's Reclaim parties, he is courting right wing grifters such as Stephen Yaxley-Lennon -

It's owner's perogative what they wanna do but

there's something really sad about seeing celebrity Austerities with their own interesting histories and unique modifications just get inaccurate BR black so they can look like anonymous J94s on lines that never would've seen them

Really love the way you sculpted her face!

Not sure if you've done it before but would love to see a D199 done in a similar way

As a heritage volunteer, I'm immensely uncomfortable with Hosking interwining his heritage interests to promote his shitty right wing politics - especially with such hateful figures as Yaxley and Fox.

It's easy to boycott his trust or LSL railtours. It's less easy to avoid organisations like-

71000's second railtour was to haul around Hosking's "Chairman's Train" in Oct 2025. Invited onto this were, among others, Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon and Laurence Fox and other similar right-wing grifters. If you are remotely familiar with UK politics, you would be familar with them

Jeremy Hosking - Wikipedia

Hosking has invested millions into the heritage industry. He has also invested millions into far right politic parties, bankrolling Farage and the Brexit party, among others.

I'm not sure why pregrouping modellers struggle with liveries; no-one struggles with something as clearly established as GWR or BR green

Thank you! It's the chassis of an early slip eccentric Lady Anne, with the boiler of a 89-95 one and custom bodywork.

There's a plate on the back that says "Fareham Loco Works" but it's a complete mystery who that is or who 'built' it

If you look under the footplate, near the cab you might find a serial code - if so, Roundhouse would be able to tell you when it was built and by who! But i suspect they weren't doing this when yours was built

My Jupiter is a bit of a mongrel but I suspect it has the same boiler as yours

Not precisely but i'd place it between 1989 and 1995.

Yours has the simpler cab with the straight sides, the older smokebox without rivets and older style cylinders as on the red example below (and from these instructions)

Manchester Pride over for another year. Another chance to show that steam is for everyone (not just old cis straight white men). The way the crowd cheered and applauded everytime we blew the whistle or make her bark will never, ever get boring.(yes leather daddies do hump coal. lol)

Thank you, I am very proud that almost every single one is rare or unusual in some way!

And yes, the SL1 (not mine btw) actually scales really well, It looked a treat with TR coaches unsurprisingly!

Today was a pleasant day babysitting Fenchurch, would've been nice to actually do some work after getting the engine into steam though!

Only slightly marred cos the railway played host to a racist homophobic twat of a DJ - surely a better figure could've been picked for publicity?

There have been various battery locos at different points but Bernard is the first 'permanent' fleet member.

Very old, chunky, heavy, noisy & historically significant, he is practically an honorary steam engine. His main job is to rescue them when they run out of fuel or simply don't want to behave
