Doing the March spreadsheets for the pantry and we served more than 11,000 meals last month alone. And it was a slow month!

(Since we're a pantry, not a soup kitchen, that number is estimated, but having been there all month, it checks out. Still eye-opening to see the final tally though.)

My utterly improbable but extremely logical idea is that the world should set aside two non-state zones for the winter and summer olympics, build them into tourist and cultural destinations, and hold the olympics only in those places. It would solve (and, hilariously, create) so many problems.
