A photo of a bench made from cedar planks in a garden raspberry patch
For my wife’s birthday yesterday, I built this bench in our raspberry patch that incorporates the posts supporting the hardy Kiwi vines.
Kwijibo! 🤭
Memory unlocked…
We had this or something very similar to it that came with a computer I bought at a garage sale in the mid-1990s.
I wish I remember what the computer was. It very old even for the time, it had an orange monochrome screen and it had BASIC and I’d program games on it.
Four baby Juncos in the nest in our hanging basket off the front porch
Baby Juncos have arrived!! 🐣
Before confirming it, we had a suspicion they’d hatched because we saw both the male and female parents flying in and out of the nest (the male helps feed the hatchlings).

Yard buns! ✨ ✨
A black cat stares out the through a screen door at a bunny in the grass
Comet is *almost* as excited about the bunbuns in the yard as I am #caturday
I feel like nobody played the sequel, despite most enjoying the first game (I’m guilty as well). I hear it didn’t sell nearly as well as the first one.
OMG just take my money already!!! 😍
The TV-out was neat! I didn’t understand 240P vs 480i, so couldn’t figure out why SNES emulators didn’t look quite right.
In Windows I was barely able to make out text at 480i on a 13” TV. My family had a 32” Trinitron though, I only hooked it up to it a few times but remember it looked great.
Now that I’m looking into it more, I think I overclocked my 3000 to 3500 clock speeds. With a PCI slot fan and ram heat sinks I was able to boost it from 166mhz > 183mhz stable.
So I just told myself I had a 3500 haha.
I remember wondering what “for external use only” meant as a kid
Hmm! You know what? I think I had a V3 3000 not 3500. I bought my V3 at launch from Software Etc, it was an upgrade from a VooDoo banshee.
I remember it had s-video because my monitor broke and for months I had to use my 13 inch bedroom TV as a computer monitor while I saved for new one lol
Woah that’s cool! I had a V3 3500 back in the day, but it wasn’t that one.
I think mine had s-video out?
That's a big-ass RF modulator on the card because this was intended for use as a TV tuner for your PC as well as a gaming card. It required a huge dongle which split out into VGA output for your monitor and RCA & S-Video on the other end. The 3500 was a weird card.

Reading shampoo bottle labels is where it is at
Why is that V3 built like that?
Glad they could find someone to cosplay as Nacua
It’s pretty sick.
I’m tempted just knowing what this stuff would cost on the second-hand market.
An HelloCalmare ad on Facebook that says “I am a head massager that makes your migraines”
I think I’ll pass on the migraine-making head massager
You Wouldn’t Exceed a Rate Limit
It’s Elden Ring playing on a Tv from the 1970s
i have a similar kink
It’s so cool that they’re backwards comparable.
I’ve been saying for years that I wish more hardware manufactures would re-release boxed games for vintage consoles… like a retro gaming version of the vinyl resurgence.
This is really fucking cool.
I envision a future where all vintage consoles and their libraries get re-released, much like the modern vinyl resurgence.
I’ve never actually played on a “real” AES! I imagine it was mind-blowing to experience those games at home in the 90s.
I just saw the AES+ announcement and realized that probably inspired your post. Does it appeal you you? It seems like a great way to get the AES experience 👀 I’m intrigued!
Neo Geo collectors obviously don’t know about Raspberry Pi’s 🤫 🤫 🤫
Yep and I have a feeling it’ll be even worse as IMO this whole “AI” thing is largely smoke and mirrors whereas internet commerce was the future, but things got silly such as with this example.
