With @NotionHQ 3.0 we saw;
- new databases permissions,
- AI Meeting Notes,
- AI Agents + Map View
- MCP integrations
Was impressed with how #AI Agents are 'prompted' - how precisely it can search within your db & the web and build tables to help plan the perfect weekend!

Notion nailed it by baking #ai into the right places—actually making it more powerful & useful, not just adding for the sake of it.
Big thanks to the 4 ambassadors who hosted, demoed practical, locally-contexted use cases, and @notion.com for the 3.0 SG ed invite!
Thanks for the reminder not to sink into the comfortable zone again.

"We move forward, unwavering, toward a light we cannot yet see.
This is not just for those we cherish, but also for those we may never encounter.
I hope you know I'll always love you, brother.
This message will self-destruct in 5 seconds."

"One that mirrors the goodness within us.
And that goodness is reflected in how we treat others.
We all share a common destiny - a shared future shaped by our countless choices.
One potential future is grounded in kindness, trust, and understanding, if we choose to embrace it."

"Whether we like it or not, we hold the reins of our own destiny.
Nothing is predetermined.
And while our intentions may be noble, they are overshadowed by the influence of our actions.
Any aspiration for a brighter future stems from actively creating that future."

"If you’re listening to this, the world is still here and so are you.
I hope that, eventually, you’ll realize this life isn’t merely a twist of fate.
It was meant for you. Your purpose. A purpose that resonates with every living being.

The potent speech from the only recurring character across all 8 movies:
**do not read futher until u watched the movie.
The OG of movie magic that sparked my journey.
And still have my mum asking "is that real?!" and "how did they do that?!"

The #manus.im prompt is:
"Before taking any action, ask for more helpful information or confirmation, share potential solutions with their pros and cons, and allow the user to decide how to proceed. This approach ensures user involvement in decision-making and prevents premature implementation."
Enjoying and amazed at what #manus.ai can do.
Quick tip after spending thousands of credits:
Manus loves to jump right in and start working after the prompt but it can waste credits if it's not what you want.
So I used this from the start and included it as a Knowledge preference.

Brilliant Labs' Frame Ai glasses arrived yesterday!
Still fresh from the oven!
While waiting for the Android app to be out, had to use the iPad to setup with a new firmware update.
The verdict is still out.. and hoping for more features to be added as more devs get their glasses! :)
Think X.com + a public version of your second brain.
A curated, highlights only version...
glasp.co/th
I signed up for Glasp a while back. A cool approach to collecting & highlighting knowledge in a community-sharing setup.
Revisiting it revealed some interesting new features: 'Ask Your Clone' & 'Hatch' matching ideas collected to inspire new ones.
ahh.. ok! Nice work with the iOS shortcut. It's quite a powerful app!
Yes, I prefer not to sync everything and only highlights, so it's an additional filter. I prefer to keep my Obsidian 'light'.
Will check them out! 👍
While I keep my plugins as minimal as possible, these I use frequently:
Journal Review, Omnivore, Omnisearch & Advanced URI.
Are you using a web clipper?
Currently using Omnivore, first as an inbox, before exporting over to Obsidian but aiming to simplify.
Agree and while learning how to use it, I benefited in more ways than one, like organising 'thinking' - what kind of information to process, store and more.
Just curious, what are the top 5 plugins you use?
Obidian may not be as pretty/ polish as the above apps but it makes up with it's flexibility with it's over 1500 plugins.
And is still my 2nd brain app of choice for the local, privacy access.
Thus I moved on to another group of apps.
Writing brain App search-
Round one:
I relooked at similar Obsidian apps like Logseq.com, Tana.inc, Scrintal.com, Heptabase.com, AnyType.io, Affine.pro and Capacities.io
They are all amazing pkm apps & similar yet have very different strengths from each other.
My 'writing brain' requirements:
1. Easy capture on desktop & mobile.
2. Support for YouTube, TikTok/IG links, images, audio, and text.
3. Daily resurfacing of items.
4. Bookmarking & Read Later are great
5. AI features for tagging, organizing, and generating insights are a big plus!
I love @obsidian@mas.to and been using it for abt 2yrs.
But I'm actively entertaining the idea of an 'writing brain' which houses public ideas - no problem with AI digging it's claws into them.
As I would like to get some early feedback, the first 10 able to help, please reach out for free access to the template.

Screenshot of the Notion Travel Planner template. Simplifying traveling with friends with 3 sections - 1. Collect 2. Plan 3. Enjoy
Any one who travels with friend(s) knows there's much that needs to be planned, organised for an enjoyable trip.
If you use Notion, I had came up with a trip/travel planner that simplifies things with 3 main sections:
Collect, Plan and Enjoy.
my 3rd paid app for 2023 that I will recommend is
3. GetVoila.ai : one of the easiest to use AI chrome extension setups that packs a punch with GPT4 inclusive.
Lots of built in prompts and allows you to template your own.
my 2nd paid app for 2023 that I will recommend is -
2. thesukha.co: the ultimate time blocking / pomodoro / accountability & gamification + community app, got me doing more in a day than any other app!
@thesukha.bsky.social
Which paid apps did you start using from 2023 and will recommend it?
Here're my top 3 for productivity apps
1. Notion : they just keep piling useful features, great for notes and organising data and collaboration!
A bit of a learning curve but once u see the possibilties, u will be excited!

to ponder ..
what's next in 2024.
How will you spend these last 3 days?
Day 28: #dailypublish #21sparksChallenge
Final 3 days of 2023,
a little pause,
in-between celebrations,
to recover: from the gatherings and food
to reflect: on the past 362
- what worked
- what didn't
- what to remember
lessons learnt, ideally once
- what to let go
- and what to forget
