The mall Radioshacks around me always seemed to have the coolest stuff like game kiosks, sit down areas to mess with computers, remote control cars

God after figuring out dinosaurs would never create Quest 64 It's the comet
Yeah thats why I dont charge for retrobright if cleaning service is selected, its all passive im not really doing any work and I only have to use like a few tablespoons of peroxide per batch its basically pennies
The only process TBH if you care about aesthetics atleast. I use the Vapor method so only a small amount of peroxide needed and parts are not submerged directly in it. Very safe and consistent results Ive been having the last few years
This guy needed a very thorough scrubbing first too
Just finished refurbishing a customers SNES JR, here is the before and after on the shell. Came out quite nice!
RadioShack 🥹
Used to be obsessed with that place and could spend hours in there
When grabbing some games to have on hand for testing (I don’t own a Jaguar cd) that one showed up often, will probably be my next purchase
It’s an RTS?
Biggest issue on those is a few capacitors near the power switch and of course how the screen has held up
Very cool system though!
I own a Jaguar myself but not a CD unit. Just haven’t worked up the courage to drop 1K+ on one yet
Luckily it seems like the mister core is coming along well if you have one of those!
2 for 2 this year so far 🤞
Sure do
I dont have it on my site yet but if you (or they) reach out via the contact form on my site to get me your information I can absolutely help out with that. As well as a cleaning, retrobright, etc if desired
Believe it or not the Jaguar has a pretty big homebrew scene some neat stuff via that. I also like a decent chunk of the jag library myself, the Jag CD is another story but I still want one, if only to have the full setup / for collectors sake 😂
Trust me half the stuff I buy I never play
I offer services for both the Jaguar and Jaguar CD, check out the options and prices here:

Thats my hope, no way it wont be. The SVS switch made juggling video cords for 40+ systems easy, hoping this will be the same but for power!
Pumped to add a RetroTap PSU to my shop setup from @kytor.com
Bought one of every adapter type, now just need to wait for the main unit to go on sale!
No more digging through boxes of power bricks to test customer consoles 👍
Oh, I absolutely agree. All my personal consoles that are optical based and have ODE / HDD solutions I went that way and never looked back. I collect discs now purely for the fun of collecting (and testing customer systems)
you can source replacement lasers from places like eBay if original functionality is strongly desired. This is actually the first install ive ever done of the SD loader where I didnt keep the drive intact, simply because its for me and I dont own any discs so figured why not!
