More GameKit observations: tons of symbols like GKGameCenterViewController are now deprecated. And I can't find any obvious replacement APIs so I am thinking Apple now prefers us to build our own UI for in-game achievement & leaderboard browsing? GKAccessPoint is still supported though. #WWDC25

The new Challenges API added to GameKit looks fun & nifty. Love that Challenges are based on Leaderboards so you get a lot of things for "free" if your game has already integrated with Leaderboards. #WWDC25

Cold Take: my beef with LLMs (minus ethical/environmental concerns) is their overuse. AI is an incredible new arrow in our quiver but the hype cycle has us trying to use it for *everything*, often when it doesn’t make sense. This isn’t a novel sentiment at all but woo baby it exhausts me.

Not awful for being out of practice on Time Trial mode but dang… that feeling of panic when the timer starts to get low. It’s a genuinely satisfying feeling when your own game humbles you.

Finally started using a custom `PreviewModifier` for my SwiftUI previews that caches a preview-specific `ModelContainer`. Not sure if I am actually seeing a performance improvement from said changes or if I'm just confirmation biasing. #iWantToBelieve

I keep forgetting I can use Typed Throws now in Swift 6. Still haven't figured out how useful they are in practice but I'll never find out if I keep forgetting to incorporate them.

Anecdotal tip for persistent Xcode preview crashes: if clean builds & derived data wiping doesn't work then try making a lil' change to your preview code. For me this hits the preview engine with a metaphorical hammer & things start working again. I assume it acts like a form of cache busting but 🤷🏽‍♂️
