Sun Country will begin MSP-TUL on May 21, 2026 with twice weekly service. Currently unserved by Delta but would expect them to follow suite in a few weeks.

MSP-ABQ/OAK/SDF have been removed from future schedules.

What people don’t realize is that this story is just a start to all of the money being siphoned from the economy.

Just some impacted industries:

-Airlines
-Real Estate
-Hotels/Airbnb
-Restaurant

SLC is one of the most expensive airports in the country. This coupled with Spirit’s inability to revenue manage effectively creates a recipe for failure.

Sun Country is now selling flights on their 737-900s. Flights look limited to their core stations (MSP-RSW/MCO/etc.)

SY opted to go with 189 seats, only three more than their 737-800s according to seat map.

Delta will not be the only airline to announce LAS cuts in the coming weeks.

But how quick would WN come off those?

NK is looking to raise money and would likely be able pull schedules down a lot quicker.

ICE needs to buy a fleet of aircraft? Spirit needs money and has a bunch of CEOs. Hmm…

Delta pulling MSP-TQO is an amusing one if you follow the battle of DL/SY in MSP.

DL started TQO in Dec 2024. SY, who flies MSP-CUN up to 5x a day, did not follow DL into the market.

Would SY now consider it for winter 2026-27? There’s a good chance if rumors of TQO MRGs are true.

With Allegiant’s schedule extension, they are now planning to be down in capacity each month in early 2026. Capacity is published down 8% in Mar & Apr.

For Mar & Apr, G4 will be 9-14% smaller in all of their main FL bases except FLL, where they are up 11-13%. This puts even more pressure on NK.

AEX capacity should just be moved to SHV.

The turf war for RDU, ILM, and CT is baffling between Avelo and Breeze.

For March, that PVR is rough. I wonder how many seats Apple had agreed to in their block.

Really far out there, but Bahamasair has removed flights for a few routes after Feb 2026:

MCO-NAS
MIA-NAS
MIA-ZSA (San Salvador, Bahamas)

The only U.S. route loaded after February for Bahamasair is FLL-NAS.

Interesting fact: San Salvador Airport is also known as Cockburn Town Airport.

Southwest Airlines with the most tone deaf marketing post I’ve seen in a while.

The replies by their Social Media team in the comments are only making it worse too.
