On my way to Worthing tap takeover who's there?

Sadly yes, the beers survive only as long as someone's paying.

My current fave is Wham Rap- George Michael also had a very difficult to emulate vocal range.

I often think what a weird/fascinating brewery Marstons must be to work in now- like a animal rescue centre for homeless abandoned classic British beers- Bass, Young's, Directors, Mann's, Banks etc etc

Good point but I suppose they still have Marstons brewery so you may as well put volume through it.

Halcyon and On and On — Drinking, Ageing, and The Green Goddess in Blackheath, London — Pellicle I have a simple, beautiful dream for my dotage. It entails being able to walk from my home to a brown pub that sells brown beer. I sit on a stool at the bar. Behind it, a much younger person smiles, s...

Welcoming @vincerai.bsky.social to the Pellicle crew—his honest and humourous take on beer consumption and pub communities as a 60+ year old is beautifully refreshing in this week's story.

It's also the story of @thegreengoddesspub.bsky.social! Dig in 🌿🍃

The cover of my book, Beer Festivals, illustrated by Simon Gane. A cartoon style, many people stand holding diverse beers. There is bunting at the top.

Interesting to hear Breal described as a disruptor of the UK beer market- surely vulture would be more accurate given all the once great but now distressed brewery brands they have bought?

Kind of linked ton the Jennings announcement, more green shoots in the post-corporate cask ale landscape. Lovely things are finally happening in Burton on Trent again! @pelliclemag.com sent me to @burtonbridgebrew.bsky.social to take a look and report back the good news.

Carnivale Brettanomyces 2025 has a date! 19 to 22 June in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

It's my favourite festival of the year. In their own words: "Carnivale Brettanomyces is a yearly wild beer festival dedicated to deviant fermentation of all kind."

French cask beer. Have you seen it? Travel with @anahlcq.bsky.social to Brittany, where Coreff amber ale is the drink of choice, thanks to some VIP brewers from back in the day.

Beer lovers, drinkers, and historians, you're gonna love this one.
