Merry Christmas

Being a caregiver is tough, especially as we all get older. I remind myself not to take grumpiness personally and to remember that kindness matters. Ask nicely and I’ll give the world. Rudeness I have to ignore.

We used to be looked at as a country everyone wanted to come to and be proud of. I can’t believe what I’m seeing with the Republican Party. We had Nixon, but at least good Republicans spoke up. Now, it’s just ugliness out of the White House, and I feel sorry for young people raising kids today.

At 81 years old, I’m seeing something in my lifetime I’ve never seen before. I’m seeing an inept, ignorant man sitting in the White House that was elected president. With all the vulgarity, he’s a thief, he’s a liar, and he’s brought so much shame to this country.

Boy is that the truth.

These are the people Trump is putting in front of Congress, completely unqualified and unaware of the responsibilities they’ve been given. This is the price we’re paying for a con man exploiting the American people for his own criminal gain, along with his worthless children.

I’ve seen presidents come and go. But yesterday, seeing the president behind the Resolute Desk threatening a sitting governor was a scene I’ve never witnessed. I replayed it over & over—I couldn’t believe my eyes, Trump threatening Mills over transgender athletes' rights. We are not a monarchy yet!
