That’s really good to know. I should be sharing on multiple platforms. I need to get myself in like. Thank you so much for the kindness I really am amazed.

Love this thank you so very much for sharing elsewhere. You are an angel and I’m so thankful for you. You’re my favorite friend here. I can tell you truly care about Covid and long Covid. Everything you do has purpose and effort and it truly shows. Thank you for sharing

Thank you for the help with finding the hook. This is extremely helpful and was a good eye to be able to see it.
I’m happy to write about it because it’s amazing to find other people who also can see and understand this phenomenon. I have not been able to find another person in real life!

Long Covid is the most discriminated disease of our time.

It is the illness that lingers long after the world has moved on.

It does not end, instead it settles in. Rewriting the body quietly and methodically until the person you were becomes something harder to recognize.
And still, from the outside world, you look almost the same.

That is where the disbelief begins.

You speak and watch eyes glaze over. Then you try to explain and hear the soft dismissal hidden inside words.

By the end of March the ambulance sirens finally fade.
The coughing and throat clearing fall silent.
It feels as though the winter Covid wave has passed at last.
For one fragile moment the world exhales.
The nightmare seems over once and for all.
We dare to forget.
Life might begin anew.

Then the notices slip into my inbox like ash.
Another sudden passing.
A name I once knew.
