Twine / An open-source tool for telling interactive, nonlinear stories

Have you ever used Twine? It's pretty easy to learn for making text-based games: twinery.org

I made this one with it a few years ago: www.mallorycarra.com/invoicegame/

Two pictures of the pillsbury dough boy: once is on a purple background with the caption “he is risen! happy Easter!”, and the other is tan and brown, similar to a cracker, on a white background saying “he is not! Happy Passover!”

A ½ review of Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002) This is the kind of movie that makes you hate movies. I hated this movie over 20 years ago when I first watched it, and it made me never want to watch a STAR WARS movie again. More than two decades la...

An old tweet from me on Oct. 25, 2023: "I also just lost a two-year battle with my soon-to-be former insurance when it comes to covering my long-acting inhaler. Wild that asthmatics have to go through so much just to breathe."

I'm just glad THE PITT is bringing this and so many other medical issues to the mainstream. Proof from the other site that I've been dealing with this for years. I'm now on a generic, Breyna, which is fine, but it's no Symbicort.

Asthmatics have long known that Symbicort can cost upwards of $500 *with* insurance for a single inhaler. My doctors told me to hoard them while my fancy corporate insurance covered it (and then the insurance stopped soon after).

Love to recognize the names of my own medications on THE PITT, like it's an old friend making a cameo on my favorite show.

This week, it was the Asthma Trio™️ -- albuterol, Symbicort, and montelukast (and an ER regular, EpiPen). And they mentioned the cost issues with Symbicort.

I'll always have a soft spot for college newspapers (WSN 4ever) and I currently teach in a student newsroom. Also very proud that the current Daily Trojan EIC is one of my former students and the DT Magazine co-editor is one of my current students (she did not conduct the interview).

My grey and white snowshoe cat, Butters, clearly claiming this laundry hamper, meant and purchased for laundry, is now his and meant for Cat Only. To be henceforth known as "Butters' hamper."

I had no idea cats loved hampers so much. I just thought my cat was a weirdo who loved them.

+1 to everything Karl is saying here. And also:

The *logic* of the metaverse press coverage in 2021-22 was, “there is SO MUCH money and SO MUCH engineering talent pointed at this stuff that it is bound to amount to something.”

That’s facially reasonable, so it gets repeated every time.

My cat Butters, a grey and white snowshoe cat, is basking in his victory by lying upside down in what was supposed to be my hamper, but he also commandeered that. It's his hamper/world, we just live in it.

The scene of the crime: an open closet door, a bag of food that was once on a high shelf now on the floor, clawed open by a little cat named Butters.

My cat Butters secretly knows how to open closet and cabinet doors, especially the closet where I keep his food. Last night when I got home, I found the closet door open, a bag of food from a high shelf on the floor, clawed open, and him proudly meowing about his victory and making air biscuits.
