“When a Premier claims that delays are caused by a proponent’s inconsistency — and that proponent can demonstrably show otherwise — it doesn’t just undermine the specific argument. It erodes trust in the entire process.”

Journalists planning to honor Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner have a choice:
A. Party with the dictator, wear fancy clothes and network to boost their careers.
B. Stand up for democracy by staying home.
They’re going to choose A. It looks terrible now. It will look worse to history.
The Onion says it has a new deal to take over conspiracy theorist Alex Jones's Infowars media company. If approved, the satirical news website could turn Infowars into a parody of itself. n.pr/4eyN1Cj

Just remember, whatever stats ALA drops, the reality is even worse. A not insignificant number of schools don't report to ALA, and ALA doesn't have the staff in OIF to go out and track down this information. This looks bad, but it's likely worse.

A fifteen drawer card catalog with some drawers pulled out and Library of Congress literature in the drawers and on top.
It is National Library Week and the Library of Congress has done a cute nationwide thing with old card catalogs highlighting a lot of their core programs. I'm partial to their "Free to Use and Reuse Sets" but I'm sure we've all got our faves. 📚

The playbook isn't even a secret anymore, it’s being run in broad daylight. We’re seeing new levels of authoritarianism every single day, and this gerrymandering is top-tier corruption. Absolute power-grab. 🚩 #ableg #abpoli

A central part of the Spiritualist movement was the inclusion of spirit guides, which primarily consisted of the dead or some animus attempting to impart wisdom to the living. While a medium might speak to many spirits, they had a primary guide helping navigation. #PhantomsFriday

In the United States, by contrast, Donald Trump and the Republicans have brought their democracy to the brink of collapse by redrawing maps to rig elections in their favour.
Now Danielle Smith is doing the same thing. /4
Today, Danielle Smith and the UCP caucus unveiled plans to rig the next election:
A new motion indicates the UCP's plans to manipulate the election maps for the next election in their favour, and without any requirement to consult the public.
This has never been done in Canadian history. /1

Tell me, what in the hell we're paying taxes for? / Well, what if we all stopped paying taxes?"
I love you.
