i have the right team:
yesterday i presented our product vision.
an engineer said he didn’t think a feature was technically possible.
on his own, he spent a few hours researching feasibility, built a demo, and presented it to the whole team this morning.
and yes, it works.

a lot of emotions for an 8-minute call
it’s only monday and i’ve already said “let’s go” a dozen times.
in my book, “let’s go” actually means:
“this deadline is insane but we’re gonna make it.”
today’s my birthday. the best gift i could wish for is more birthdays for the children of Gaza who are barely surviving today. watching innocent kids and babies die from starvation and bombing should break everyone’s heart. it surely breaks mine. please, donate what you can — money, words, whatever you have — and hope food reaches the families in Gaza. ive donated €500 to UNICEF this week and plan on giving more. together we are so much more powerful.
🤍

new theory: parents become writers during the first few months of their baby's life because what else are you supposed to do when your baby is napping?
yay!
fiction, fantasy. what are you writing?
today i shared the first chapter of the book i’m writing with someone.
it felt like doing a design presentation but a thousand times more stressful.
at least no PMs were involved.
i think i should definitely say this in public so people stop pretending
people who say “i know you used AI to write this doc”… ok?
yes, i did. because writing it wasn’t the job, sharing the info was.
i’m not wasting 3 hours making a PRD look human when i know half the team will just ask AI to summarize it.
tell me!
3 weeks ago i went to ikea and bought a bookshelf
it’s still in my car
and it's not a small one
your real best friends for life are the ones you trauma bonded with at work
my alarm changes every day.
sometimes it’s a soft tune.
sometimes it’s a cat meowing.
most days it’s a baby calling.
not procrastinating. just anxiety vibing.
what i’ve learned while writing a book:
if you love a sentence too much because it sounds clever, it probably needs to go
my cat has a lot of thoughts to share during the daily standup
none of them are on topic
*creates a demo and shares it with an engineer*
eng: we should hire you as a frontend
me: i didn’t code that, i just prompted
eng: exactly. i prompt all day too.
you know you're writing a book when you've got 50+ tabs open and they're all thesaurus.com
imagine being a grown man and thinking “you know what the world needs? a video of me making fun of teenage girls”
the algorithm might be broken but their self-awareness is dead 💁🏻♀️
PTO used to mean paid time off.
now it means parenting ‘til overwhelmed. still no regrets
too many people confuse “communication” with “mind reading”
remote workers are always on time.
office workers are 3 to 5 minutes late because “the room was booked” or “wifi isn't working”

Creativity isn't really a skill, it's a path you walk on. Every step you take, every little thing you create opens the way to more creativity.
Creating a roadmap and sequencing work is relatively easy. Making a planning to handle childcare, work, dates and workouts tho… that’s a whole different story 🥲
