Was shocked today at Arsenal in posession. Bournemouth are a great pressing team but constant no risk football between the lines is far too risk averse and caught up to them. “Bottle” was too harsh in previous seasons, but no excuses this one. However, have time and control to prove doubters wrong

West Ham a bit lucky last night (for 4-0) but regardless of players / mood Nuno seems to get the best out of the situation.
5 unbeaten at home also shows the fans wont let them go down
Feel like their decisions as a club have been poor but the people been excellent - fans / nuno / bowen / soucek etc
Highlighted by the initial Real Madrid performance, new formation dropping NOR and for 20 mins they could have been 2 up, then fell to Valverde’s moments of magic. Usual moments of brilliance but a lack of what makes Pep great, control of his team in his own mind
Back on Bluesky for a bit now to give my two pence on football, last post was after the initial Arsenal Man City game and rings relatively true I feel about City’s identity crisis through the season, so much so signing Semenyo and Guehi to try and lift them closer to any sniff of a title
Really liked the analogy & like any major crisis people will use hindight to reflect rather than foresight to predict as you have. Private credit more than likely is the focal point for the next overall crash, what comes with it is interesting and blindly never joined football finances struggles in
Very astute, do you see a world in the near future where top players easily shift away from the Premier League and towards Bundesliga - ie the “safest” wage packet. Would imagine it would take English clubs to nearly go under before a radical shift happens but like anything it is due a correction
#MCFC nowhere near the levels of title challengers either, forget the “defensive masterclass” they are going through an identity crises being pulled through by Erling Haaland at the moment. Pep squared trying to be too clever in game today against Arsenal and it caught up to them
Martinelli pops up with a great equaliser, I think before today the narrative around Arsenal being negative was always over exaggerated. Today I feel the narrative was justified with the starting team. Martinelli threatening from the start with the remaining subs was a far better balance
Understand that maybe all of Eze Saka and Nwaneri are carrying differing levels of injuries, but #AFC cant have many complaints here. Nowehere near the level of attacking qaulity in their play in the middle and final third. Martinelli although frustrating would surely offer more than Trossard atm?
In your view will Kevin be deployed mainly on the left? And in that case Iwobi, shout for Fulham POTS last season make way.
If so, where will Iwobi fit in? I presume maybe to start in “tougher” games and spring Kevin at 60?
#LFC take the 3 points but Burnley nearly flawless in their low block which deserved the point they looked like they would get. Strange outcome that seen Liverpool deserve more than a point yet Burnley coming away with nothing feels wrong.
Florentino looked promising, fans were also excellent
Carvalho with 2 goals now in Brentford’s last 4 games, do you think he deserves more game time?
Another VAR own goal, Van de Ven is pushed by the #WHUFC keeper causing KWP to fall…yet it is still ruled out? Shocker. #THFC should be 1 up
😂😂😂
Thats the attitude to be fair, heading into Europe, you have nothing to lose
I do agree, its asking for instability and volatility, which the players who are used to structure will maybe struggle to adapt to. It may work, its just a large risk
Its by no means a bad situation, it is just not the most stable
… steady managers. Now the volatility from ownership / player ins and out level will seep also into the management of those players, playing full out attacking football, with a squad built for…?
At least it will be a fun ride regardless.
Usually try to put a positive tinge on any analysis, and none of us know the outcome of Ange’s appointment which could turn out great, but it is fully understandable for #NFFC fans to be worried about the current direction of the club. A volatile transfer policy so far has been neutralised by… 1/2
😬
😬
😬
#NFFC fans, what are the current thoughts?
Interesting. And again out of curiousity what few names would you rather be in charge?
If you had your way would you change manager then?
And Havertz / Odegaard would harm any team. Time will tell whether Arsenal will struggle, but losing against “big 6” teams is not one of their weaknesses, today was an anomaly
#LFC vs #AFC - Neither team deserved to win neither deserved to lose, felt like a set piece or 50/50 call would decide it. Liverpool will be delighted to be on 9 points after not playing at their top level.
Arsenal already getting claims of no bottle, they have depth but losing Saka Saliba…
#MCFC exposed yet again for Gruda’s winning goal, Stones misjudging the space to defend after their high line was aggressive
Got a bit of abuse for this one (as Brighton actually finished 8th last season) but the message stands true this week.
#BHAFC flat in the first half, but excellent in the second. The quad sub had great impact on overall play and obviously the scoreline. Credit to the manager for that one
Better feeling today possibly?
