I’m a queer Arab ex-Muslim who knows much more about Islam than most people who blindly defend it

Is this not a valid take though? Islamic viewpoints are not very progressive and we really don’t want to normalize pedophillia and homophobia

Why are most elderly people so conservative? What happened to all the hippies and anti Vietnam war people?

From a distance you can see a mountain landscape with a blue sky and a few hazy clouds. on the sides of the picture you can see parts of trees. On the left in light green, on the right a smaller dark green tree further away. in the center is a black box on which is written in white “Only caring about your own right is exactly how you lose them”.

Here’s why I post so much about Covid: after your 3rd infection the risk of developing Long Covid is 37% and keeps increasing each round, this is published science. So I’d rather nag at people going to cons to mask now, than say I told you so when you are too disabled to travel to any in the future.

“Egyptian researchers analyzed data from over 4 million people and found that nearly 1 in 3 COVID-19 survivors face long-term cognitive or memory problems, while 43% experience persistent fatigue, revealing a major mental health burden from long COVID.”

If 4.9 million kids with asthma is a national health priority, what does it mean when 5.8 million have Long Covid?

Why is the #1 chronic condition in children being ignored?

of chronic fatigue, autonomic nervous system dysfunction, brain fog, memory issues, etc. There was promising research that COVID is neuroinvasive, but the research was defunded as soon as the pandemic ended which is horrible as millions of people are struggling with symptoms of possible long COVID

Hot take: We need talk more about the long-term effects of COVID, especially the physiological ones. Everyone was just kind of forced to move on but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that post-COVID, so many people had a sudden onset (1/2)

Nxdia is so fucking cool. It warms my queer Arab heart to see someone unapologetically queer and Arab. Someone who blends English and Arabic lyrics in their music, which makes the music hit so hard for queer Arab diaspora kids. Stream their new mixtape now!!
