But I'm no doctor and I'm still not sure why the A1C went up when I was following the directions. Doctor couldn't tell me either. But even though I was moving, I still was putting bad food into my body. Not to say I don't still have bad habits, but I am more aware of what I eat.

I was borderline before and my doctor told me that if I lost 15 lbs I would likely lower my A1C. I went walking every day, sometimes up to 5 miles, but really what mattered was consistency. I lost 50, but somehow it went up by 0.1. What really did it for me was far less carbs and more fiber.
