Ahhh, these small moments are my favorite parts!

Where characters brush against wounds they didn't even realize were festering. Then a simple change in perspective lances through them.

For Percy's part, it's these "thoughtless" moments of kindness which capture Knell so completely! 😭

It's a small moment but I love, after relaying his whole deal, Knell tells Percy, "I don't want revenge."

In so much media, the end-all-be-all is forgiveness vs revenge.

I liked how casual Knell was about it, in contrast w/ Percy, who has been absolutely STEWING these past few days (read: years)

I asked my dad what he's been watching.
Him just saying "Harry Hole" with a completely straight face had me questioning reality for a moment

Teen 3 looks to the right to see a strange figure in a distance. "Wait, who's that?" Panel 2: Teen 2 looks confused. She says, "It's... me? What is this?" Panel 3: The stranger looks a mirrored reflection of Teen 2, but wounded, scarred, and harried. She is holding a cleaver. Panel 4: The future version of Teen 2 holds up the cleaver threateningly, face blank with rage. "It's your problem now."

The loss of your prescribed purpose, one that's been so hammered into your head that it becomes background noise. Losing that sole defining trait of your life is like losing the ground beneath your feet.
Yeah, you aren't super attached to the ground, but you also needed it to stand?

I'm so enamored with this through line of characters who've lost their "purpose"- who stand up, brush themselves off, and look around in the crumbling aftermath and ask, "Now what?"

I CANNOT wait to see more of Marrow!
