So the worldbuilder in me is interested in seeing post-apoc and fantasy genres merge. Call me a tourist or a filthy casual if you must. But even if the characters are boring (and it's kind of looking like the creators used up all their ideas for ATLA), it should be an interesting world to see.
I don't have the childhood nostalgia attachment to the series, but I liked it well enough as an adult. I thought the most interesting thing about Korra was the evolution of the world (not the characters) and seeing steampunk merge into fantasy.
