I remember winter climbing on Great End. A pint of OP never tasted so good after one of those days!
I had an old girlfriend in Wales and I showed up one winter with my axe and crampons and they all laughed at me because they couldn’t imagine winter climbing there.

Just collecting firewood. Yeah we're snowed in right now. Same storm that hit new york. Being maritime keeps things milder but this year has been very cold. It's the wind that's the toughest. Summers can be spectacular. Fabulous sailing on east coast. What about the lakes?

The human psyche gravitates towards the facile and superficial. It is easier to hate than understand. To accept fascism and extremism over balanced belief. It's real in the USA as its people (thankfully not all) condone atrocity. But it’s a global disease. One for which there is no reliable cure.
