Only the arms that are in profile are visible. Draped clothing hangs from the arms. A bright yet transparent band of red paint frames the bottom and right sides of the image (two sides of a view finder) Brush strokes are visible.

Pictured, ‘Cher’ – her name a term of endearment, repeated hundreds of times across an archive of messages and images. Romanticised photos of girls and women posted over a century ago - WW1 social media and a mass PR war effort.
