i am not a fan of acronyms in our public comms, but after our trustees passed a resolution yesterday to advertise our Westerly Trickling Filters project i am willing to make an exception.

WHAT,,
sewer skills are always in demand!
there's nothing worse than a sewer system that doesn't run seamlessly
I could write a whole thread on why aging sewers are bad news!
happy #maneymonday!!!
I hope you had a good easter weekend and found lots of eggs (or chew toys) this weekend :3
I'll keep you posted π«‘

honestly entirely fair, but it's always ever seemed like an equivalent to Dairy Queen and isn't close enough for me to give it a "ah hell, why not" try
plus I'm afraid of cheese curds π
sorry I'm from the south idk who she is ππ₯°
spotted LOTS of little culverts around White Rock Lake yesterday!
notably, here's a some concrete pipe culverts with stone masonry headwalls and two thin-edge projecting corrugated metal pipe culverts (the first with helical corrugations and the second with annular, interestingly!)
hot find outside of the Sheraton at TFF: another Shaw Foundry backwards S Dallas manhole cover on a curb inlet!
it also had a "no dumping" marker that I hadn't seen before, so that's neat too!
I made my boyfriend stop the car so I could take a picture of these, not that that's necessarily unusual of course π
two EJIW ribbed vane grate inlets (model 5460?) attached to a shallow curb inlet in the City of Dallas
happy #maneymonday to the maned wolves, this specific set of ribbed vane grates, and you, of course! :3c
oh! (hold on just a sec-), sorry! you've caught me on the telegphone!
anyways, I hope you have a good #maneymonday!!! :3
RIGHT????? I love how this artist draws maneys π©π
saw some interesting things while on a walk the other day!
for starters, all of the retaining walls along this creek look like they were made of lots of cemented concrete cores?
and while the concrete headwall isn't exactly unusual, I've never seen an "organic" end section like this tree before π
there absolutely will be if I have anything to do with it !! >:E
it's #maneymonday !!!!!!!
πΎstrutting through the week with some new maney art from @sakkiye.bsky.socialπΎ
most normal off-topic coworker grumbling tbh π
graugh hectic #maneymonday,, ,
but got to spend the evening celebrating a friend's bday and got ramen for dinner, so it's all good! :p
I was on a walk yesterday and saw these funky special design curb-type inlets used to drain a (3"?) V-ditch along a short retaining wall
Usually you'd see ditches with culverts beneath roads/driveways, but I figure with the natural gas line and homes they didn't have the room for full ditches π§
I see a funky inlet (half-recessed curb inlet????) and stop to take a picture
it's YET ANOTHER SHAW FOUNDRY CITY OF DALLAƧ COVER
Warm up sketch before working on commissions. Some ocs :Β°)
it sure could be!
COME HERE YOU
RIGHT????
I saw it w 13 at Anthro Expo and HAD to get one!!
what better way to enjoy #maneymonday than to finally receive a new maney plushie from @lairbrew.bsky.social in the mail!!!
they've even got cloven paw pads like maneys do irl !!!!
CAD designers could never π
NOOOOO I'M AN ENGINEER DON'T MAKE ME TALK TO PEOPLE WAHHHH
and then they keep trying to get me to learn MORE CAD
please I haven't seen my family in WEEKS, is Open Roads not enough??? I don't want to learn Civil 3D π
I would LOVE to know how many other animals they have stuck behind a computer doing CAD work π
these paws were NOT made for plan sheets
oh my god that's awful
I'm sorry to hear that all happened :(
