An excellent ground roots view of the UK political landscape and a beyond-the-antipodes observation of #auspol as well.
Topped by fun and engaging presentation by both Ian & Peter.
A serious competitor to the pedestrian & performative 'Global Roaming'

An excellent piece on #ABC Radio National's #LateNightLive with long time #UK #political commentator @iandunt.bsky.social in-person with Peter Marr.
Beats anything on #insiders or most any other 'performative' MSM political discussion.
#Auspol
Strathbogie was beyond them last night on RN
I've heard some similar VIC place name clangers on the ABC RN news bulletins also.
Mind you, the ABC Regional stations are quite savvy IMO.
I lived in Sale during the fires and local floods in late 2000s and they were a godsend.
A couple of years ago, in Australia when GST (similar to VAT/US State Taxes) had to be paid on imported hobby goods, Hobby Link Japan created a local Australian entity/business which collected the GST and remitted it to the Tax Office. It's do-able but some thought/organisation is required.
Don't fret.
Wholesalers/retailer stateside will still be able to secure stock. The tariff-related issue affects direct customer purchases from outside the USA AFAIK for the time being.
Check out what Sprue Brothers announced in the last few days about this matter.
Looks like Paul's doing a good job on the Tamiya zimmerit application.
I used it for a 1/35 Panzer IV I commenced a little while back. It has a somewhat tacky background when removed from the carrier sheet. I used diluted PVA to allow it to be 'slid' on the surfaces & tacking down loose bits ๐
Excellent !
Only known too well

Nice James,
I like your 'atypical' museum piece setting ๐
Was it aligned with an actual 'half-and-half' scheme?
Which kit did you build ? The recent Tamiya one ?
The good ol' 'drill & pin' is a handy technique to recover from these mishaps. Short length of brass (or any stiff) wire to restore some integrity that glue alone cannot.
That's many canopies !
And I see it's available in Oz too !
I see Eckersley's have it.
Proving to be invasive these past few weeks. ๐
Confirmation of registration as an organ donor (Australia)
Something I've been meaning to do for some time.
FYI, not my relative but that of a fellow Twitterer
Recent instance of organ donation
A timely reminder for y'all to consider.
#OrganDonation
It changes someone's life.
In Australia last year, only 513 people became organ donors.
Must do better.

And the near perfect day for it ๐
Reminds me of my occasional Saturdays spent at Luskintyre (NW of YWLM)
Grass, hills, sunshine, Tiger Moths, restorations ๐
I trust that's the privilege you enjoy when you get to share a hangar/parking space ?
Woke at 5am (with windows/doors open to cool) to the smell of smoke from the bushfires. Not blowing too badly at all in Melbourne; it's gusting over 100km/h at mt Buller now !
I watched/listened to the ICJ proceedings this week. It'll be interesting how the judicial panel rules.
Wow - that's a very tired old truck. Love it !
I think some USN P-3s even deployed AGM-12 Bullpups on the outer wing pylons.
The Orion's proved itself to be a versatile platform acquitting a myriad of roles

For those scale modelling 'maniacs', one can purchase a P-3 Bomb Bay to acquit the Tamiya kit with.
Plus, without a Bomb Bay where would you carry a pannier to transport all the duty free purchases back to Oz with ?๐คทโโ๏ธ
You didn't go far ๐
My desktop too ! Last Friday. PITA !
Any thoughts regarding reasonably value-for-money radios for these vehicles. Back in 1982, Futaba was pretty much it AFAICR. Don't forget electronic speed controllers (ESC) if not boxed. New Sand Scorcher came with one. LIPOs are a whole new thing for me.
Back yard had a course running it's perimeter, which included one soil embankment at the far corner.
30-something years later, discovered that Tamiya rereleased an ungraded anniversary Sand Scorcher. So far untouched in box (in storage with some other belongings) but looking forward to ๐ it again ๐
Well done ๐
Back in 1982, my dear Mum indulged me with a request for the 'Rough Rider's' cousin - the (VW) Sand Scorcher, sharing the same chassis, only body was different. Still have it, though hasn't run forever after a couple too many 'nicad events' back in the day๐ ๐งต
DHC Beaver, right ?
