a more upsetting example that’s sort of related is when people tell me they’re never going to read berserk because it was never finished. i think that’s insane. there’s still a lot to read. and maybe it’s just Something Different than a closed story. i don’t know.

like in a lighthearted sense i get it. we want hunter x hunter to update or whatever. but even if togashi didn’t have health problems i think he could take as much time as he wants. i’m waiting patiently here for whatever he gives me. why not take the story as it is. why not reread. is that crazy

not to sound like i’m trying to be different bc maybe it’s just a vocal minority but i have never understood when people have a lot of anger towards comics (or other media) going on hiatus or taking long to update… i’m just like. there’s all other art ever made to look at in the meantime?
