Man, these are all great stories. Kid me would have probably gone for Spidey, but my answer now would be FF.

My answer to this as well.
77.5 for MA.
Do creamsicles taste different on Asgard or something? I'll take that shit if you don't want it, Thor.
Happy New Comic Book Day Everyone!
Every day is a yellow day
I'm blinded by the daisies in your yard.
(Prince)
The cover and splash page for Strange Tales 104, featuring the not so super villain Paste Pot Pete, who would later become The Trapster, and along with The Wizard, The Sandman, and Medusa be a future member of The Frightful Four in later FF comics.
No exactly rolling out the A-Squad villains for ol' Torchy here.
I think I'm pretty set with things to read for now.
Oh, I wasn't mad at all. I loved Purple Rain and 1999, but also really dug what a musical curveball this one was. If I'm not mistaken, there was little to no fanfare when this album dropped. Prince was just like "Here you go.".
This whole record was a mind blower for teenage me. An underrated gem in his 80s catalog.
Delivering DoorDash? ๐ค๐
Reed Richards "council's" Johnny Storm, aka The Human Torch, on investigating a case of nearby houses mysteriously sinking into a swamp.
"Pfft! Screw you, Johnny! The rest of us have some *real* problems over here."
A Happy 420 to those who celebrate.
Alex Jones is spinning in his grave
The panel post above. It features Superman peering through an open window, causing a startled woman to faint. It has been modified so that Superman is saying "Yes...ha ha ha...yes!"
B LIst villain, The Wizard, makes his 1st appearance (?) in Strange Tales #103.
Holy cow!
(Lookin' good, Wiz!)
Oooooo, I *hate* those rotten commies!!
That hot 10 minutes in early Marveldom, when The Fantastic Four had secret identities (well, maybe not Ben so much).
I think I'm going to try to acquire as many Marvel Essential collections that I can find of either volumes I've sold in the past or ones like this that I come across in the wild. There is something genuinely soothing about newsprint b&w.
"WHAT...DOES...THE...YELLOW...LIGHT...MEAN?!?"
Monday
Marvel Essential collections for Captain America (Vol 4), The Fantastic Four (Vol 2), and The Human Torch (Vol 1).
Have I mentioned how much I love the used section of the @harvardbookstore.bsky.social?
Buster Crabbe as Flash Gordon, Warren Hull as Mandrake the Magician, Tom Tyler as the Phantom, and Ace as Devil.
The Defenders of the Earth.
Happy Wrecka Stow Day for those who celebrate.
