From A MOVEABLE FEAST
I'm glad to know "slop" was used hundred years ago the same way we do now, and that too in a conversation between literary giants Hemingway and Fitzgerald.

I'm on a diagnosis hell too, so I get what you're going through. Let's hope 2026 answers the riddles.
A good start.
Do you know what they call a thousand doctors chained to the bottom of the ocean?
“It all goes back and back, Tyrion thought, to our mothers and fathers and theirs before them. We are puppets dancing on the strings of those who came before us, and one day our own children will take up our strings and dance on in our steads.”
The First Blackfyre Rebellion gains more intrigue in the context of Viserys II and Daena the Defiant. As the Hand he misruled her brothers to ruin and then usurped her own claim with sexist rationale. Daemon was raised for swinging the Blackfyre sword to correct those wrongs. #asoiaf
No, I renamed the app so I'd remember to open it frequently. But it didn't work.
Right back at ya ✌️
I wish Martin would publish something out of the 1,100 TWOW manuscript pages. The Northern storylines are numerous and isolated enough to work as a volume. 2027 can be a time for wolves, c'mon George. #asoiaf
I can't see Marquez gracefully retiring on a highnote. The surgeries made him cautious only for his sporting performance, they didn't cure his mutant gene. Any new title is a step closer to equalling Nieto and Agostini, and if there's rider who'd take that shot, it's Marc.

Leonardo’s charcoal and chalk study for the angel Uriel, and how the angel appears in his Virgin of the Rocks (Louvre, c 1486)
“Written by Marv Wolfman”
You got your comics for the fashion. Your chain fake.
Fun fact: this is an ai hallucination because Wolfman has a text interview with Kirby in the back of issue 1.
Plus, readers familiar with Martin's previous works and also his inspirations and references can make a decent guess about ASOIAF's conclusion in terms of theme and mood. It's not a big deal if an octogenarian fails to finish the work his 30 years younger self had begun.

Mike Collin's alternate photo is extremely well known, but this one - shown remastered and cropped - is an absolute beauty!
NUN VA GOLDOON was great. A film about the loss of innocence, Makhmalbaf's minimalist direction gets a lot done with little. Most scenes are self contained collages and they build on each other to tell a story thick with grief, and it all culminates in the greatest final shot:
