THE IN-LAWS (1979)
we need “the pitt: karaoke night” one-off now!
both had their own style that the show was able to mold around. that was the beauty of the format.
and the mads all day.
AI star symbol.
It's funny (not funny) how this ubiquitous symbol screams 'beware, incoming trash!' I have an instant reaction of revulsion whenever it pops up.
THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD (1938)
BAD DAY AT BLACK ROCK (1955)
i can show up 28 minutes late to my local regal theater and still have time to ride the rollercoaster.
i’ve been in my place about a year now, so i figure it’s as good a time as any to do a real deep spring clean.
the problem comes when trying to pick a movie or two to put on in the background. you want something familiar, fun, light… but not so good you get too distracted.
EXCALIBUR (1981)
it's like "city slickers" for nerds!
any progress is good progress.

BELLE DE JOUR (1967)
When you're leaving the cinema but there's a mid-credits scene
jesus christ… why can’t he just fucking die already.
Suspects in the police line read from a sheet of paper Suspect 1 (Kevin Pollak) "Open the fuckin' strait you crazy bastards" Suspect 2 (Stephen Baldwin) "Open the strait you crazy bastard motehrfucka praise allallllalllah" Suspect 3 (Benicio del Toro) "Open the fuckin' strait you crazy bastards" - What the fuck?"
The Usual Suspects (1995)
PRIMITIVE WAR (2025)
that said, if there's a season 3, i'd love two things:
1) a woman as the hero, and 2) for them not to be a good person. let's see what happens to the meticulously planned scenario when they don't save the day.
really liked "company retreat." thought "jury duty" was funnier overall, but this season had more heart and emotional stakes.
what's a classic/iconic film in your blind spot? that one movie everyone has seen and loves, but for whatever reason you never have?
mine is "2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY"
