Fascinating!
Sanguinaria?
You’re Penstemon murrayanus look very lush! Mine tend to be smaller.
Mel Robbins talked about this in her book. Basically, it boils down to friendships form with proximity, time spent together, and common place in life. After college, much of that goes away.

Thanks!
Nice! Do you know the plant’s provenance? I’d love to find some more southern genetics.
Does salverform also apply here? Or is that different?
A New Year’s moonlit walk. I’ve always loved this giant Quercus michauxii (swamp chestnut oak) in our front yard in Tennessee.
The moonlight accentuates its striking winter form.
Already blooming here in east Texas!
The flowers are shaped like little four sided boxes.
Thanks!

Cool thanks for sharing!

I hate this plant with a passion.
I agree on the mistflower. C. greggii isn’t that bad and it’s a pollinator magnet.

One of my absolute favorites!!!
Any thoughts on rain/snow line for the storm that will go through east Texas Thursday/Friday?
Would Nelumbo be peltate with circular leaves and petiole attachment underneath?
I find root architecture fascinating. Tells you lots about growth strategies.
Thats hard. Fresh cauliflower is good. Then there’s collards cooked with bacon grease and brown sugar. Oh, and Brussels sprouts with garlic olive oil or Cajun seasoning.
What were your issues? Viridis is a weed for us here in Texas.
That’s great!
Flowered after one year?
