Walt Disney's classic film Pinocchio premiered on this date 85 years ago at New York's Center Theater. One of my favorite toys as a small child was a Pinocchio bank which, for a time, I carried with me everywhere. It wasn't as nice or colorful as the one in the photo but through the magic of ebay I'm now able to reconnect to a bit of my childhood. I like this one even better than the original.
