Let’s not forget that Benzema has won the Champions League five times with the other two combining for just two.

Comparing a Martin Scorsese masterpiece to the constant stream of dog shit created by Marvel Cinematic Universe makes nonsense. So why create an artist of a footballer to standard strikers like Suarez and Lewandowski?

Also, Benzema spent a decade as second or third scoring option. He’s only been primary for three years in Madrid. Suarez/Lewandowski were the primary option in ALL of their prime years. Zero Ballon d’Or to show for it, by the way.

Benzema is #10 and a #9 at the same time, whereas the other two are just #9s. They focus only on scoring whereas Benzema associates with his teammates and makes the game look beautiful. Of course he doesn’t have the same scoring volume over his career, he’s not focused on that.

Now that we’ve established that Benzema’s ACTUAL goal output, you know, when it matters, is superior to that of Suarez/Lewandowski, let’s move on to the argument that will totally and utterly eviscerate those that believe Benzema is inferior…

I don’t care about Lewandowski’s goals against Darmstadt or St. Pauli or Suarez’s against Leganes. They’re irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. Benzema’s big game record is FAR beyond that of Lewandowski or Suarez. Goals in key moments when the lights are brightest.

However as I’ve said time and time again, ALL GOALS ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL. How many of the goals were when the match was within +/- one goal? How many were in “big games”? UCL KO rounds? Finals?

Let’s look at the main criteria Suarez/Lewandowski fans point to support their opinion that those two are better tan Benzema: goal scoring record. Yes, it is without question that Suarez/Lewandowski have better goal records than Benzema….

The Suarez/Lewandowski/Kane/etc. vs Benzema debates are so extremely misguided and idiotic that they’re actually beginning to anger me. Not because I like Benzema a lot more than the other two, but because those who rate Benzema lower do so because of an extreme LACK of football knowledge.
