Not me, apparently.
I was sure it came out in 2011

Literally the best news I've had in 15 years.

Posted this last night, elsewhere.
Posting it here for posterity.
Today I looked into his eyes and kissed his forehead for what I'm 99% certain will be the final time.
Then I sat in a parked car with A, and she watched me cry.
She didn't speak. I didn't speak.
There was nothing to say.
First words you hear in Chernobyl: "What is the cost of lies? It's not that we'll mistake them for the truth. The real danger is that if we hear enough lies, then we no longer recognise the truth. What can we do then but abandon even the hope of truth and content ourselves instead with stories?"
On April 20 Craig Mazin and Johan Renck’s TV masterpiece Chernobyl is being shown for free across five nights on Sky Mix and Sky Atlantic.
Thought I'd rewatch a little bit, see how it's aged in the past seven years... 1/2
"Another piece of cake?" RIP Angela Pleasence. SYMPTOMS, of course, but also part of a marvellously creepy double-act, with her father, in this segment of FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE (1974)
Just thinking about the fact that until I saw Louis Theroux's BBC doc about the alt. right I had never heard of Nick Fuentes, and since then I hear about Nick Fuentes roughly 4 or 5 times a week now.
So, I just watched Louis Theroux's Netflix doc about the manosphere.
House of Pain
Fuck a word-count.
Can - Tago Mago (1971/ Spoon 1981)

“Too many setting suns round here today.”
Just heard that my first ever editor, Select’s Andrew Perry, has died. So playing this one for him. AP taught me how to write record reviews, which means he taught me how to write. A huge loss. #RIPAP

My son Connor has been brilliant in supporting and helping me. It feels like such a daunting prospect to start again, but he has made it not only feel possible but something I can actually feel excited about. He's a brilliant illustrator, check out his insta www.instagram.com/c.lockhart.i...
Unfortunately I've had to close our World of Moose website. Our business just doesn't exist without Karen. I will find my way back to making art, cartoons and illustrations and am setting up a website where I will be able to sell my work, albeit on a smaller scale than when there were two of us.
I will never understand why the space programme is supposed to be fake when faking it would cost the same amount of money, involve the same amount of people, and use the same amount of resources as actually doing it for real.
RIP Chuck Norris

Fine Young Cannibals?
Why do so many of you care what awards people in the entertainment field win? Or don't win?
Do you take absolutely no pleasure in the work they do? Is it just a silly fucking horse race to you cunts?
One of the sweetest musical numbers ever, from Flight of the Doves.
All day social media has been clogged with rednecks bitching about multiculturalism in St Paddy's Day Parades :"Why does THIS have to be woke now?"
Let's see what 1971 has to say about it, eh?

Len Deighton has, sadly, died but this is another excuse to listen to the title sequence of Richard Rodney Bennett’s mad Billion Dollar Brain score for 4 horns, 3 trumpets, 3 trombones, tuba, tons of percussion incl. xylophone and marimba, Ondes Martenot and 3 grand pianos. youtu.be/efvhQ8kWIEY
One of my favourite opening credits sequences (TY Maurice Binder!), my favourite Harry Palmer film, and the music is just fab.
Adieu, Len Deighton.
You made so much of my lonely, speccy teenage years cool and gave me something to share with my old man.
Caine clearly based 'Harry Palmer' on your look and mannerisms too.
John Le-who? Double Oh -who?
Amateurs.
"Is Whitter in?"
God, I love a tribute band.
Happy Mothers Day, fellow Brits.
Whatever you always wanted to say to them? Say it today.
You only get so many chances.

You know the best way to kill AI? Don't use it. Don't buy it. Don't share it. Don't give the people who use it your labour or your money.
Current torturous earworm is a bewildering blend of Peter Gabriel's "Solsbury Hill" and Suicide's "Rocket USA": Climbing up on Solsbury Hill / Riding around in a killer's car
Whatever happened to mashups?
