He has such a bright career ahead of him with the national side. But for some reason as the moment they just don't seem fully invested in a spin bowler.

Minus my allegiance to Essex lol. I do agree Sam Cook is a better long term prospect and the fact he only has had one test and it took until this year to do it was crazy to me.

My initial thoughts would be either Matty Potts or bring in Sam Cook properly.

Looking at the squad post ashes I think the following players will be removed;

Crawley - Replaced with Alex Lees or Haseeb Hameed
Pope - Replaced with Bethell
Jacks - Removed and split between Tongue and Atkinson
Wood - Replaced by Archer who will stay in Red Ball now
