I thought my generation would eradicate bias, prejudice, control, all of the things we are still seeing. I remember in fifth grade one of my friend’s fathers came in with his guitar and they taught us the anti-war songs. We were supposed to be the generation to turn it around. Now “we” are them. 😞

It’s been a week of tornado warnings and flash floods. THIS made me smile!
I’ve been battling flooding basements and tornado warnings for nearly five days. THIS made me smile. Thank you!
My adult son was special needs saw this picture as he was looking over my shoulder and said “he’s cleaning the toilet”. I responded, “Yep, he has a new job.”
If only…
I had never heard of the pink triangle. There is so much we don’t hear about. I really struggle with everything happening now as well as in the past.
Map of Wisconsin counties with the majority voting blue!
Wisconsin is finally returning to the things that brought me here in the late 80’s! My county is still showing red but the margin is less than 5%. I need more yard signs for the fall elections.
As these reminders pop up I will look for the really good memories and focus on them. I’ll try to be the person wearing the rose colored glasses and see my glass as half full. So what I smile about on Saturday may be opposite of what I’m thinking about on Thursday.
The bulk of things happen within about one week of April 1st. It must be my “line in the sand” indicating an end to winter and a new beginning. If I look at each incident individually there’s some really good stuff that happened.
I was thinking the very same thing yesterday.

New approach.
I belong to groups of acquaintances, I have been posting informational bits on my social media page. They are usually a summary of what’s going on. I often hear, “well I didn’t hear that”.
So now I tried posting this. With “From your president…” as the title.
Hoping to help.
The one thing I like about having just been sick, is that it makes me appreciate what healthy feels like.
Perfect timing. ❤️
Meme that says “I am learning to love the sound of my feet walking away from things not meant for me.”
I confess I’m still of other social medias both to market my pottery and to remain connected with certain groups of people. Yet I’m so tired of trying to maintain the peace. Yet again an acquaintance from my widow group came on my personal feed to tell me to “check my facts”. I deleted the comment.
I remember that day very well. I live within an hour of where it occurred. I learned a lot about coworkers and neighbors.
Sales have slowed so I’m spending more time on my photos hoping to boost interest. These are four of my cookie jars. I hide my dark chocolate in the one I kept for myself. #pottersofbluesky
Thanks for sharing that. I had someone come after me on my other page and wanted to debate. When I put the parameters of being respectful and using facts, the person went silent. So I borrowed your post today and I wrote under it the things I wrote above.
We react to things based on our individual life experiences. No two individuals are going to react the same way. That merely indicates they have different needs, wants and concerns.
I often post things that feel political. I try to post ISSUES and hope that I am sharing a perspective that is relevant.
I realize folks don’t always like or agree with my perspective yet that doesn’t make it wrong.
A wonderful glaze firing today. I’ve been working on melding my carvings with my glaze combinations. These feel right. #pottersofbluesky #pottery #wheelthrownpottery

That was the year of our 35th anniversary and our final anniversary. He passed away three weeks before our 36th anniversary. He was a good man. He was the love of my life.
Identical, valentine cards, one printed with a masculine font, the other a feminine font. My husband and I exchanged these on our final Valentine’s Day together. He passed away the following year.
In 2019 my husband and I were very busy running a small business along with my teaching job and my pottery. When we exchanged cards that day, we laughed at the irony that we would pick the exact same card for each other.
I’m playing with some new ideas. I love my glaze combinations but they mask my carvings. I’m hoping the two can live happily side by side. #pottery #ceramicart #wheelthrown
I hid from the world for the afternoon. I’ve got lots of my work stained/underglazed and waxed. Ready to begin glazing. #pottery
I’m learning to throw large plates. This one is the largest but my foot is too small. There’s always a lesson to be learned. #pottery #wheelthrown #potterystudiolife
I’ve heard the term lugs used but handles or thingies work too. Nice work.
