Hence dcom and the cloud 😎 this is for local mcp servers in the mcp registry. You're right most will be in the cloud

Windows MCP: like COM got a glow-up for the cloud/AI era—registries, proxies, interfaces… and this time, security isn’t optional.
Just flip 8 bits: COM → MCP. Maybe that's MSFT's new formula—"Eight bits better than COM!" #MSBuild #Windows #Microsoft #COM #MCP

@windowscentral.com I love your sight and all and totally ok with you running ads however I've had about enough of ads crashing your site. Makes your site essentially unusable on an iPhone
If we’re now calling the Gulf of Mexico the ‘Gulf of America,’ and we are inviting our Canadian cousins to join in the America fun why not go all in and rename Canada North America? Makes sense right? #branding #geographyrebranding
Jimmy Carter may not have been the most successful president, but he redefined what it means to serve with grace, commitment, and integrity after leaving office. A life dedicated to humility and helping others. Rest in peace.
Can I pay more so @tomwarren.co.uk has to watch spurs games?

Thanks to these solutions, I stayed connected during 6 days of outages. From Zoom calls to streaming Netflix, having a solid backup plan kept life running smoothly.
If you’re in a storm-prone area, plan ahead—it makes all the difference.

I considered Starlink, but it’s waitlisted in Western WA.While promising, it wasn’t a solution this time.
What I learned:
1️⃣ Whole-house generators don’t solve ISP issues.
2️⃣ T-Mobile Home Internet is an excellent backup.
3️⃣ Mobile routers are portable lifesavers.
4️⃣ Local admin access is critical.

One key takeaway: local admin access matters.
When the internet is down, cloud-based management tools don’t work. Thankfully, my UniFi Dream Machine allows local admin access, so I could troubleshoot and adjust settings without relying on the cloud.

My second backup was a travel WiFi router that tethers to my phone.
It provided 25–100 Mbps, enough for Zoom calls, Netflix, and browsing. This portable router worked with both iPhones and Androids.
Portable, affordable, and a great fallback option.

What made it work seamlessly? My UniFi Dream Machine, which supports two WAN connections.
Switching to backup internet was as easy as plugging T-Mobile Home Internet into my router. For $10/month (backup plan) and free hardware, it was a lifesaver

My first backup solution: T-Mobile Home Internet.
Although it’s not available at my address, I got creative by checking a nearby location in Issaquah. After confirming availability, I picked up the hardware from a local store.
It delivered 225 Mbps down and 1–10 Mbps up—not perfect, but enough

When the bomb cyclone hit Western Washington, I thought we’d lose power for a few hours—maybe a day or two. Instead, we faced an unexpected 6 days without power.
While my whole-house generator kept the lights on, I quickly realized a major flaw: Internet access. Here’s how I stayed connected. 🧵
Yeah just not enough support for full support
Spectre and lack of hvci plus sport vbs support is really why 7th gen isn't supported. I get your frustration since this machine was bought in 2021 but 7th gen chips came out in 2016. Apple dropped support for 7th gen in 2023 i believe
