Those Reform plans in full:
- Torpedo our largest trading relationship
- Leave millions of EU citizens in limbo
- Sell out Brits living abroad
- Spend years negotiating another Brexit mess
Thanks Nigel 👍

"Starmer, Mahmood, and McSweeney are testing to destruction the idea that stealing the far right's clothes will win the far right votes. They are about to be disappointed."
The government claims it wants to stop small boats crossing the Channel, yet its new policies will make it harder for refugees to bring their spouses and children safely. This will push more women and children onto dangerous dinghies.
I asked the Home Secretary if this is really what she supports.
Labour MP Brian Leishman: "The Government has surrendered to... the vile rhetoric of Reform. Does the Home Secretary not see that removing the legal obligation to support asylum seekers who will be otherwise destitute, is as far away from Labour Party principles and values as we can get?"

Digital sovereignty isn’t optional anymore. We sold our water to foreign billionaires. Now we’re handing them our health data

The Horizon IT system directly led to more than 900 wrongful prosecutions of sub-postmasters.
The news that the Post Office have just agreed to pay them £41million to keep using Horizon - whilst the victims are still fighting to get the compensation - is an outrage.
Nigel Farage said their flagship council in Kent would be a "shop window" for how they would run the country.
Just months after taking over they're now set to slash multiple council committees as they struggle to fill posts after sacking nine of their own councillors

Senators on the brink of retirement who lived full, wealthy lives and never feared the loss of their own healthcare voting for their constituents to die from their inability to afford the same is treasonous
Once every 20 years or so, the director-general of the BBC is forced to resign for being insufficiently rightwing. Alastair Milne in 1987. Greg Dyke in 2004. Tim Davie in 2025. The great irony is that the BBC was in all cases profoundly biased towards established power. But just not biased enough …
Mick Waddington is Reform UK's candidate in the Barnoldswick, Pendle by-election.
He's "campaiging to protect Pendle's care homes".
No one seems to have told him that Lancashire’s Reform-run council plans to close their care homes and day centres:

Our story on the Drinking Water Inspectorate ordering water companies to act on PFAS in drinking water sources made it to BBC Radio 4 PM yesterday, with Prof Patrick Byrne explaining some of the ways forever chemicals can affect people's health. More here:

Tommy Robinson "I wish the UK had a leader like Benjamin Netanyahu."
Even out of all the disgusting things he has said, this is the most disgusting.
A reminder that the public consultation on proposed changes to the service specification for children and young people's gender services, which launched in August is still open, so there is still time to share your views if you haven’t already. www.engage.england.nhs.uk/consultation...
For the first time ever, a majority of supporters of all parties support changing the voting system. This includes Conservative supporters.

This is good reporting on the disaster in Alaska if you're looking for a reliable summary.
This is a bigger disaster than I think most are realizing. 1500 people have been displaced by the flooding with an exceptionally complicated response and recovery.

Nigel Farage fans were asked why they vote Reform UK without mentioning immigration and the furious responses spoke volumes

Reform UK leadership in Somerset think it’s understandable that a councillor pissed on someone’s driveway because of ‘shortage of public toilets’
There are numerous pubs, a Tesco superstore and a public toilet near where he did it.

In the USA the Israelis pay American Politicians $52,000,000 a year to keep them on side.
In the UK it isn't even £1,000,000.
But as you can see they all fall over each other to do their bidding.
Traitors.

Former MEP Andrew Duff says only an independent Royal Commission can cut through political denial and chart a path back towards Europe.
Before the last election, Russ Vought proclaimed that 2024 "will rival 1776 and 1860" and he declared that Trump is "nothing more than a gift of God"

This is such a good corrective by @chrisgiles.ft.com to the "working-age welfare spending is exploding/out-of-control" narrative that more & more people seem to see as an incontrovertible fact www.ft.com/content/ee67...
