I knew a few of the kids as they were younger brothers and sisters of friends so thought "this might be okay".

After one final chance for them to reconsider, I jumped on the decks.

Two tracks in and it was as I feared: they weren't ready! 😱

That second track was this...

Their instructions were to "just do what you do" but I don't think they were really aware of what I did. 😆

I questioned them asking if they were sure. They replied the kids want it and have asked for you.

On your head be it!

So, I turned up with my record bag ready to do my thing.

Listening to an old mix and it reminded me of the time I was asked to DJ at a youth club.

The kids weren't old enough to get in the club where I had my residency, said they liked HARD techno - some had even heard some of my tapes - and so the organisers reached out.

The one that I looked at on discogs was no longer available 😕 🤷‍♂️

Now why couldn't I find it? Everything but.
