An annoyed disability advocate reads yet another account of someone “proving” competence or health through displays of physical prowess that are not available to disabled folks. #ableism

Canadian here…NO ONE NEEDS TO DIE IN THE COLD! If individuals don’t have the means to heat their homes, even if they don’t have warm clothing or blankets, or quilts, municipalities or states or the federal government can and should provide warming centres i.e. buildings with heat.
10/10
I have no doubt about whose poc… I mean where the $$ will end up.
Having just discovered your propensity for violence, they were probably too afraid to say anything
Can confirm that I voted by mail in our last Canadian federal election. Can also confirm from my lived experience as a person with a disability (MS) that I would be much less likely to vote if I was forced to go out to a polling station, and it would be impossible if there’s a lineup. 🇨🇦
Purse hanging from hook inside washroom stall
Close up of purse on a hook. The hook has 2 screws that look like cartoon X eyes, making it look like an octopus with raised fists.
Drunk octopus wants to fight!
Is this a new channel/stream affiliated with Multiple Sclerosis News Today?
Oh dear, that sounds very difficult indeed.
Ouch! Plus it’s sooo maddening isn’t it?
MS meme: “Put on a pair of heavy gardening gloves, pick up a pencil, then stab yourself in the arm with it.” I read it & laughed. Today I dropped a pencil on the floor and with my heavy MS hands, managed to pick it up, then stabbed myself in the hand with it. I didn’t laugh.🤬 #ThisIsMS #MS #FUMS
An old black and white portrait photo of a young soldier in uniform in the early 1900’s. He is gazing into the camera and smiling with closed lips. No one in our extended family inherited his shy smile or his slightly protruding ears. He was unmarried and only 22 years old when he was killed in action.
Remembering my great uncle, Private Michael Francis Kennedy, Royal Newfoundland Regiment, one of The First 500 “Blue Puttees, killed in action in the battle of Beaumont Hamel, July 1, 1916. We honour all who served, and those who serve to protect us still. Democracy is a precious thing.
Don’t forget to consider: PMS, perimenopause, menopause, the fact that you’re post menopausal, or that you just need to move more, and/or lose weight.
This election, I’m asking my local candidates to make multiple sclerosis (MS) a priority
✅ Reduce MRI wait times✅ Build new housing with accessibility in mind✅It’s time to #TakeActionForMS this #NLElection. MS Canada

I wish people would stop fixating on causes and cures for Autism and neurodiversity more broadly. It's time people listen to us, especially Neurodivergent people of color, women and others who are often excluded. Let actually Autistic and Neurodivergent people take the lead. This shouldn't be hard.
This was true for me. I had a lot of sick days a few years before my first relapse.
When you “have a fall” vs “fall down”. Also, no one laughs when you do.

The #EastCoastMusicAwards are happening in my hometown now, so my #CanadianContent for this week is singer songwriter Kellie Loder. Here’s Kellie singing Ron Hynes’ Sonny’s Dream #CanadaStrong #ElbowsUp youtube.com/watch?v=i2Bs...
A promo poster for "Late Bloomer". A young bearded man is lying on a red floor. He is wearing a brown jacket and turban. He's holding a bouquet of flowers, there are petals on the floor, and a couple of small brown birds sitting nearby.
My #Cancon recommendation this week is #Canadian comedy "Late Bloomer." #CanadaStrong #ElbowsUp
That’s a disrespectful AI photo.
Disrespectful and too ignorant to even get the hand gesture correct.
So disrespectful
It's a beautiful thing when our community comes together for MS Awareness month! Celebrating May as MS awareness month from coast to coast to coast! Thanks to Zita KT for organizing, and to Mayor Danny Breen #MSAwarenessMonth #NavigatingMSTogether #MultipleSclerosis #MS
I am one of over 90,000 Canadians living with MS.
May is MS awareness month in Canada and we are getting ready to come together across the country for our annual MS Walk. Please, if you are able, help us reach our goal of a world free of MS. msspwalk.donordrive.com/participant/...
A rambling Donald Trump truth social post exhorting Canadians to vote for “the man” who will allow Canada to become the 51st State.
More rambling…shows date April 28,2025
No thanks Donny, I voted for Mark Carney’s team. #canadastrong #elbowsup #Never51
Split screen CBCNN screenshot with a reporter and a picture of Trump. Headlined: Trump "not trolling when he says Canada should be a 51st state, he tells Time.
On Monday, let's vote like the existence of Canada is at stake! #ElbowsUp #CanadaStrong #cdnpoli
My #CanCon #CanadianContent pick this week (with a nod to 420 because cannabis is legal in #Canada), is the #Canadian comedy "This Hour Has 22 minutes." This sketch features Mark Critch and Susan Kent. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PLC...
