Everywhere, anywhere—they'd seen so much of the world in such a short time; visited mountains and deserts, farmlands and forests; even deep underground, they'd found no reprieve, no end to the waves of demons that ruptured forth from vile bursts of green light. Their small band had raged against them all, every one they'd encountered. He and the others could fight the demons for her, do what they could to make the rest a little easier, but closing the rifts was her responsibility—her duty, her burden—and each one sealed took something from her; left her a bit less of herself, even as others insisted it made her something more.

Tell us a little about yourself! Sometime in 2022, this series grabbed me by the hand and stole my heart completely, and I haven't stopped creating about it since. Dragon Age means so much to me; I'll be forever grateful for the endless inspiration and incredible friendships it's brought into my life. Thank you so much for having me! How did you get into Dragon Age? I wasn't much of a gamer when I picked up DA:O on a whim, so when it kept crashing before I could get past the Korcari wilds, a friend suggested that I skip ahead to DA:I. I went into Inquisition blind—all he'd told me about the game was that I'd probably end up falling for The Iron Bull—and came away from the experience utterly smitten with Thedas in its entirety (and especially with a certain faux-Grey Warden. Sorry, Bull, love you as a friend, though!). And now I live here. Who is your favorite Warden? You know I have to say Blackwall, even thoughhh... But if we're talking Real TM Wardens, I've gotta go with the Hero of Ferelden. I've played almost all of the origins at this point, and all have been a fantastic experience.

Tell us about yourself! My name is Ilja! I am a 23 year old artist from Czechia. I've done graphic design and illustration professionally before, but mostly keep art as a hobby these days. I got into Dragon Age a little over a year ago and have since played all the games and am currently making my way through the books/comics as well. I have a special place in my heart for the first two games especially! How did you get into Dragon Age? My boyfriend forced me to play Dragon Age Inquisition one day and the rest is history! Who is your favorite Warden? Ooooh probably either Nathaniel or Loghain. It's really hard to pick one.

I've been active in this fandom since 2021, even if I played the game long before. But since, the brainrot never left me (The Chantry would say I'm probably an abomination!). My brother bought Dragon Age: Inquisition back in 2015, when I knew nothing about this game series - I wasn't even aware there were two other full games before that! So right after beating it, I caught up playing Origins, Awakening, Exodus (II), and more recently, Veilguard! Repeat, over and over! haha Who is your favorite Warden? The Grey Warden numbers shall soon be replenished as we have received 150 applications! Thank you to all who took the time to apply. We will go through each application and results should come out after that. Everyone who applied will be notified of the results.

What's the zine's stance on AI?

We won't be using AI on the creation of this zine. If you are found to be using AI in the submission for the zine and/or have used it for works you posted in the past, you will be immediately removed from the project and have all work thrown out.

- How will merch manufacturing be handled?

We'll be handling manufacturing with a mix of usa and chinese companies, and we will be shipping from the usa.

We will pick from pitches after all contributors are onboarded to be fair and ensure equal representation of all characters and games/media for the franchise.

- How are themes/characters/topic assingments going to look like?

We will assign an oath line (In war, victory; in peace, vigilance; in death, sacrifice) and a game/media but we won't assign characters, and we will pick from 2 or 3 pitches made by the contributor. +

Q&A

- When the creation period is going to be?

The creation period will be from March through May, with extensions being granted to those who may need some more time to work on their piece.

We are looking at options and will have a broader discussion once contributors have been onboarded. We will make an announcement once we reach a decision!

Within the next few days we'll start sharing our mod spotlights, create our FAQ, and reveal our contributor application opening date. If you want to keep track on our progress, be sure to give us a follow here and on Tumblr!
