On April 1, 2026, Dr. Travis Faas @meanderingleaf.bsky.social heroically stepped onto the @ballstate.bsky.social pool deck to represent the department in the 2026 #OneBallState Day Splash n Dash Challenge. This video documents that event. youtu.be/hpavIa_iZ6Y
May you all experience a wonderful Easter day.
We get some very large snowflakes sometimes.
We ate at Five Guys tonight. There seem to be a strange vibration about the place.
Jason Yoder, class of 2026: “I'm glad I'm a CS major at Ball State because we don’t just learn theory—we actually build things and gain real-world experience along the way.”

On January 1, 2022, I posted that I had walked every day that year. It is now February 8, 2026 and I still can say I have walked every day for at least 20 minutes since January 1, 2022. That is a total of 1500 days. During that time I have walked more than 9300 miles. #goals #walking #habits
Beginning programmer's reflection: "At first I tried really hard to write the code so that it would work perfectly the first time I ran it. Once I gave up that mindset and allowed myself to make mistakes it became a lot easier to find where the problems in my code were."

There's something happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There's a man with a gun over there
A-telling me I got to beware
I think it's time we stop
Children, what's that sound?
Everybody look what's going down

My POV tonight. #chirpchirp
All set up and ready for students to come play slow games of tic-tac-toe. Each time a student visits my office they get to make two moves. And then I wait for the next student to arrive.
