I graduated from high school in 2006. I only remember one major school shooting when I was in K-12 education. The Columbine shooting in 1999. I moved to Virginia in 1997. After Columbine, the next school shooting was Virginia Tech in 2007. We knew then that loose gun laws in Virginia were the issue.

You should read what I just posted. I don't understand why everyone is saying that "this is not who we are". History begs to differ.
