A small camp stove shines bright in the foreground. The lake and mountains behind are blurred and unfocused, with fading light gently shining from behind the peaks.

A couple stands on a beach, in the distance away from the camera. The sky above them is covered in thick grey fog, making the figures slightly obscured. The vastness of the fog overhead dominates the photo, all except for a faint shine of distant sunlight on the ocean. Waiting tigers photography.

I really enjoyed playing with bridges and docks.
A vast expanse of white blinds the sky, the frozen-over ocean covered with snow. A dock on the right in the distance, juts out into nowhere. Barely visible on the left, a distant island with trees obscured by snowfall. Waiting tigers photography.
Obscured by snowfall, a distant stand of trees across the frozen waters. The forbidding white sky dominates the piece. Waiting tigers photography.

Frigid blue water can be seen flowing at the bottom of the frame, giving way to the icy surface stretching out to the horizon. An orange safety pole sticks out on its own. the top 2/3 is dominated by the white winter sky. Waiting tigers photography.
There's something almost sacred, about the expanses of winter sea and sky. That stark, forbidding whiteness is deadly. But there's such beauty to be found in her silence.

Fascinating as well, on a larger scale, was the curving patterns the ice makes on the frozen shoreline.

A close-up shot of ice in a frozen harbor. Three distinct colors and textures of ice have cracks running through them, stark and jagged compared to the soft hues. Waiting Tigers Photography.
Ice has always been a fascination of mine. On the southern port of Helsinki, I took these photos as a testament to the texture and form of ice under sunlight.
I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!
