Illustration of two mechs, the BX-721 "Desperado" and RD-111 "Corvus" standing back-to-back. Their builds are similar, as they're both based on the same technology - they're slim and lithe, with angular, birdlike faces. The two are sworn enemies, but posing them together is fun.

Illustration of the MX-000 "Margrave," an imposing mech with ten arms. It is colored a stark white, black, and red, with turquoise beam emitters in each palm that crackle with energy. Beside it is a short background of its creation: "Developed by the Reingardt Institute with the blessing of House Lisianthus, the MX-000 “Margrave” is Au Galida’s last chance to reconquer the Ingram Union. It fights using ten palm-mounted emitters that produce beams of strange energy. Exposure to this energy has been known to cause adverse psychological effects."

It fires a gatling gun from its wrist to intercept incoming projectiles while launching a salvo of its own shoulder-mounted missiles.

Their masked faces resemble the heads of Dragoons, with angular beaks and thin eyes. Beside them is a short history of the Institute: From the ashes of the Petal War rose the Reingardt Institute: a secretive cabal of alchemists and machinists led by two towering, masked entities known only as Mother and Father. They wear the robes of the Consorts, those detestable occultists whose avarice destroyed the old Republic. At present they are sheltered by Duke Lisianthus, who insists that they alone have the knowledge needed to reclaim the Republic’s lost glory. Their obsession is singular: a new, perfect Dragoon, coursing with supernatural power: the MX-000 “Margrave.”
