The Onion plans to turn Infowars into a comedy site with satirical echoes of the fringe conspiracy theories that Mr. Jones is known for. Tim Heidecker, one of the comedians behind “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!” on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, has been hired to serve as “creative director of Infowars.” He said he initially plans to parody Mr. Jones’s “whole modus operandi.”

Mr. Heidecker has been working on his impression of Mr. Jones. But eventually, when that joke gets old, Mr. Heidecker said that he hoped to turn Infowars into a destination for independent and experimental comedy.

“I just thought it would be just a beautiful joke if we could take this pretty toxic, negative, destructive force of Infowars and rebrand it as this beautiful place for our creativity,” Mr. Heidecker said in an interview. During a recent trip to Philadelphia, he traveled to the Liberty Bell to film a video in character as the new creative director of Infowars.

Palantir put out the most cartoonishly evil statement possible. They’re so arrogant and self-confident they don’t seem to believe their fascistic plans can be opposed.

We must get rid of Palantir altogether.

The author of this article refused to sign an NDA, giving up severance and healthcare benefits to tell this story.

If you didn't read it already, read it.

Because he refused, we may be able to stop the Kennedy Center from being sold for parts and turned into a gaudy MAGA fundraising warehouse.

/5 And that's just the first page. If I analyzed this for a client I'd tell them that this lawyer doesn't know defamation law and is in a panic. I'm not anybody's lawyer here but this letter's bluster and lack of professionalism scream "the dude did it" to me.

hey i don't think the president should be posting videos of people getting literally murdered on his personal or official social media in pretty much any context and especially not to try and incite a pogrom. seems like unpresidential stuff basically

America's leading Nazi in the 1960s, George Lincoln Rockwell, referred to "race communism" in almost every edition of his Nazi newsletter. There's little question about the genealogy of that sort of terminology on the American right.

On a QAnon-affiliated podcast a few days ago, "Plandemic" video star Judy Mikovits baselessly claimed that the Sandy Hook victims died from "a bad lot of vaccines," that Obama "killed those kids," & that the parents of the Sandy Hook victims were "paid off."

Something I've come to believe after a lot of cooking is that it is almost impossible to make tastier food than what you get using a staple food and adding fat and salt. Like the entire edifice of culinary wizardry is built on the lie that you wouldn't rather have some fries.

There is no target, no matter how obviously unrelated to the war and civilian in nature, you couldn't justify hitting if you applied the White House metric of "could foment civil unrest."

Children's hospitals, desalination plants, medicine factories, sewage systems...

It's a blank check.

I do not know if an updated COVID19 vaccine will be available for Fall in the United States.

All because little men got their feelings hurt because their ideas are fucking dumb and thousands of scientists told them that.

I do think that those lawyers and law professors who tried to fabricate a historical or legal case against birthright citizenship should be socially and professionally ostracized for their shocking cynicism and intellectual dishonesty as well as for their bald hostility to pluralist American values.

a medieval style digital drawing of an androgynous brown-skinned knight on horseback on a hill, stabbing a long gold spear into a blue dragon on the ground. the knight has a gold halo behind their head and wears a suit of silver armor with a nonbinary flag striped tunic and a trans flag as a cape. their horse is white, with blue tack with trans pride trim. there is black gothic text at the top and bottom of the image reading “A world without trans people has never existed and never will.” there’s an ornate pale blue border around the image, filled with pink and blue scrollwork, gold hearts filled with colorful flowers, a smiley bat, two smiley moles, and two smiling frogs holding up trans flags.

NYTimes has spent years breathlessly repeating claims that objecting to the treatment of Palestinians is antisemitic, but when right-wingers say they're “J-pilled,” NYTimes calls this "slang for skepticism of Israeli influence."

Where's the "J" in "Israel"? Might that "J" mean something else?
