For those who missed it, I recently published an essay that dove deep into the studies that show us that yes, of course, UBI works, in response to a slew of recent op-eds claiming otherwise.
There are many reasons I believe in the separation of Church and State and "you can't disagree with the head of state, that's against theology" is probably the most prominent "absolutely not" scenario.
I heard this song on Tiktok a few nights ago and I've been driving my poor wife mad singing it incessantly. So naturally, I had to animate a song about shitting oneself in affordable grocery stores with the aid of my chorus of multicolored aliens.(sucks the song is AI😭)

Go to school, I was told! Get a career! The city you're in is a lush environment with an embarrassment of riches in your chosen field! You don't need to become some corporate suit to make a living. You can turn your love for art into a career that'll see you into your retirement years. 7/10
I seemed to do well, with the occasional hiccup along the way, but I worked my way up to supervisor roles and as far as I knew I was doing well! People seemed to like me, and I was asked to return enough times that I actually started believing I might actually start risking confidence in myself.6/10
Every moment inbetween has been filled with thoughts of what I've been doing wrong this whole time, and if all I've done was confuse mistakes for successes. I was so happy when I graduated from the animation course I took. 5/10
Needless to say, demoralizing is an apt word for the last half year or so. I feel like I've thrown everything at every wall I've seen, but all the walls are oiled such that not a thing sticks.
I learned 3D, took courses for anything related to my previous work, and still came up snake eyes. 4/10
I can't say I ever FELT like I was exploited, but I tend to have my head angled soundly downward, so no saying it didn't happen. I loved everyone I worked with though, and I'd go to war for damn near all of them, so my experience with studio life has been nigh entirely positive. 3/10
Keeping my head above water at the moment, but treading water does not a life make, and boy howdy do the fathomless depths be tugging downward. I'm a sucker for hoping against hope though. Thank the gods of the arts for freelance.

Two ink drawings of creepy little critters. In the top left of the drawing is a little grumpy frog-like critter. In the bottom right of the drawing is a little bat-like critter with one huge eye and sharp little teeth.
My love of Deathstalker 2025 inspired me to sketch out these two creepy little critters while my wife was getting her hair done today!
I loved the endemic life in the movie, and just had to get these little dudes on paper.
