Interesting, even in the early 80s supermarkets were only slowly becoming a thing in the UK.

Trump proving to Americans yet again that you have two options in America. Pro-war or pro-war. Either way John Bolton sleeps soundly at night. A nation on puppet strings.

Shouldn't have checked it when waking up 😟

In summary, better to just not check the news.

my new app :) missing half the video cuz shorts... YouTube video by lypanov

ditching Android is on my to-do list for this coming year so you might just be in luck ;)

demo: youtube.com/shorts/TKjY1...

It's 2026 and I still can't use the keyboard to navigate between posts on this platform. I don't find myself using it anymore therefore.

Anyone looking for a quirky Readwise Reader alternative that they'll be able to shape by getting into it's initial test batch?

It's designed to run on Android devices for now but iOS will come if there is enough feedback.

This $1,500 robot cooks dinner while I work And does it better than I can

And our last free daily article is from @jp2e.bsky.social:

Posha uses AI and a motorized arm to cook your dinner autonomously. It’s impressive but expensive, and raises all the usual concerns about connected kitchen appliances.

A green Lumia 930. Loved it. Wish I could still play ARMED! my fave game from the time.

though his fave is a plant watering bottle, he rampages through the flat clanging it against every surface he can, drops it from sofas/beds/anything high - keep in mind, the watering bottle is around 60% of his dimensions (or if he's curled up slightly bigger than him)

Can't blame you honestly, I double checked and came to the same conclusion as you originally had. There is a setting, it was on for me, but even then I came to the conclusion they'd killed the feature.

If you hold shorter it'll still let you move. No setting to disable that behavior... Luckily personally I find cursor movement far easier on Android w GBoard than on the iPhone where I'm forced to use this spacebar movement nonsense.
